We’ve had a great season but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to suggest teams have figured us out can be a balanced discussion hearts sat off when the keeper had it & we didn’t know what to do because there’s no real option to mix it up & go long there’s times ur keeper should lump it rather than try a cruyff…..there’s times to play but we defo need to mix it up I personally don’t think hearts are a better team than us, but they find a way to grind it out

So much negative nonsense on here lately if we were not in games and not competeing then have a serious cry most of our defeats have been by odd goal while being in matches and fighting for everything. This we have been found out, dont know where next win is coming from ffs picture a year ago and picture now where would you rather be regarding Motherwell if you dont understand progress or cant see progress then i dont know what to say to alot of you. Honestly reading posts back you would think we were down the bottom in the mud lol.

So close to getting a very respectable point against a Hearts team unbeaten at home all season . Gutted, but happy Hibs have lost . Still all to play for in the last 5 games
-
Penalty to Rangers.

Yup referees aren't helping us but we aren't converting chances and our defence is now not as strong as they were and a goalie who has put his clock back 7 months ( just my opinion). What is good is it keeps sellik off our case regarding JBA. I think he will stay and hopefully next season we get even better. Let's remember where we were 14 months ago. Look at the crowds and remember some of the amazing performances ( home to sellik....pumping buddies) Hopefully we keep 4th but I agree with Kmcalpin as I think it all comes down to hibs hibsing it
-
Good non emotional response from JBA. of course he’s right, once again we gave ourselves several opportunities to win the game but didn’t take them and that’s when the other things beyond your control can affect the result. while we have hit a bad patch, results wise, there is no league game where we have been completely outplayed. Yes, some games have been tagged by fans as poor performance but that’s only because we reached such high standards during the season. But if you look at the stats, even in the games we have lost, we come out looking very well. So let’s hope the next step in our development is converting our superior stats into goals and points So despite some recent frustration and disappointment we are still in control of attaining euro spot amd still playing some good football and will hopefully get back to winning ways soon with the return of JK and Slattery.

It seems it’s all against us for this one and MJC will have his usual say. COYW
-
Two things can be true at once. We haven’t been good enough against the top six this season, and the officials have cost us on multiple occasions.
-
Quite upbeat tonight. I always thought the critical result for us would be at Pittodrie not Tynecastle, as I had virtually written us off today. The Dons came good fortunately. So, we're no worse off than we were this morning with a game more played. However our poor run continues and its hard to see where our next point is going to come from after the split. Our defence is giving goals away for fun just now and we seem toothless up front. Our nosedive continues It seems our best chance of retaining 4th spot will be relying on Hibs hibsing it.
-
We’ve only got ourselves to blame for not taking the lead today, but the officials are the reason we’re not coming away with at least a draw.
-
-
Of course it’s not all referees but when you have game changing decisions at Ibrox, Celtic Park, 2 games against Falkirk and one today against Hearts together with all of the other soft free kicks etc that record could look a lot different.
-
15 matches against Top 6 and we have 2 wins. That's not referees. Especially when we have been ahead or level in so many of those matches.

There is a ‘ceiling’ which shows how good we actually are. And we have shown time and time again this season that we aren’t capable of going above that ceiling. When it has come down to the crunch we have consistently fell short of showing that we can compete with and beat the stronger sides. Obviously that can be countered by pointing to the Celtic game at FP in December, and understandably given the way we dominated them that night. But to counter that Celtic were at their worst point in decades with a manager who was clearly miles out of his depth and who was sacked less than a week after that game. I don’t mean to take anything away from how we played that night but that was clearly a factor. As it stands heading into the split we are in a good position. We are in the top six and that is something that would have been seen as laughable if anyone had predicted that before the season started. But we can’t just go on what would have been “acceptable” or seen as “beyond our reach back in July/August”. The season develops and perspectives change and we have gone from getting ourselves into a great position in mid February to utterly whimpering our way to 6th place come the end of the season. And…that does not mean that we have had a bad season or anything of the sort. It’s just that we have had a season which had the potential to be so much better than it has ended up. It’s more frustrating that disappointing.

If he squares the ball it’s a tap in for Longelo, guys not a team player and is only thinking of a move but that kind of selfishness will put off other teams.
-
11 goals conceded in past 5 games, not all down to refs
-
You can complain about referees because there have been potential game changing decisions that have gone against us against Falkirk twice, Hearts and Celtic.
-
We blew it again versus a better quality team. You can complain about referees all day but it's happened too many times. Held leads against Hearts twice Falkirk Celtic twice and Hibs at Easter Road. No wins out of any of those matches.
-
That’s what it seems like but it might just be that our officials are just fkn terrible. That pk decision is just unbelievable. How can you review that incident and come up with that call???
