A strange game that could have ended 7-3 or thereabouts to us. We deserved to win but made it awfully hard for ourselves. We should have had the game sewn up by half time were it not for some incredible misses. Aberdeen weren't bad themselves and could have scored 2 or 3 were it not for some bad luck striking woodwork etc. Not our best performance it has to be said. A Jordan McGhee assisted OG saved some last minute nail biting. We looked a bit jaded and defensively weren't as secure as normal, although we achieved another incredible clean sheet. Maybe we missed Fadinger's presnce in the middle? Like Rangers before them, Aberdeen were cynical, picking up 6 yellow cards which should have been even more. Perahps a back handed compliment to us. Quite why 2 defenders weren't yellow carded for blatantly hauling down Said is beyond me. Someone was also very very fortunate not to be red carded for a deliberate elbow on Paul McGinn. David Dickionson was in charge and he let his assistants know it. Still another win and clean sheet. Top six is becoming increasingly likely. Happy days indeed.

Maswanhise's hand was hy his side, so may not have been deemed ounishable. Just scoring was also second phase of attack

Longelo defended well and good going forward all game but went for McGinn. Absolutely commanding performance. Just and Priestman also very good games.

Crazily even that might not be enough. If we do win every game and Hearts win every game (except the 6 points they drop off us) they would still win the league. It is a totally hypothetical situation but it does illustrate the incredible consistency required to win a championship.

BBC Sportsound were also distinctly unhappy with the result. They went to great lengths to emphasise that Jordan McGhee didn't score as it was an OG. No doubt thery're right but they didn't need to go an and on about it. Did it matter? They also suggested that Just's goals should have been chalked off for handball - even Peter Leven didn't bring that up.

and the best team , we are better than the other three, no one will convince me otherwise.

I can 100% guarantee that if we win the rest of our games, we will secure a double. We won't do that, but the fact that we're seriously in the picture at this point of the season is plain silly, and out of the 4 teams in it, we have the least pressure.

Another good 3 points today and another clean sheet. That was definitely a game that should have been so much more goals Still I will be even more delighted with the same outcome on Wednesday

If watching this team leave fans with fear and terrible feelings, we are in trouble. It doesn't get much better than this Relax. Enjoy. Cup ties are tough. We might lose, we might win. JBA will set us up to play our best. Only one team will win all of their cup games. Worst case, we are back to chasing a European spot at the weekend.

McGinn, Welsh, Sparrow, Longelo, Just & Priestman all worthy of consideration. I went with McGinn, like a fine wine, he just gets better with age.

Assuming we win our game in hand (and Celtic do as well) We are 5 points behind Rangers and 7 behind Celtic and Hearts. We have Hearts and Celtic to play twice and Rangers once. Uglies have to play each other twice and Hearts once so points there to be dropped We are genuinely (albeit an outside chance) title contenders! If we keep the run going we have had since October, no reason why we cannot be there or there abouts

I think a defeat on the cards for no other reason that teams rarely win double headers in 4 days. Can we win ? most certainly, will we? I just have a terrible feeling about this one.

Maybe the win dirty part was a bit far but we've played better, we should have been out of sight at half time. I'm over the moon with the 3 points and it's wonderful to be winning almost comfortably even when we're not at our best. It's not a criticism.

Also, it always feels (to me at least) like we're not playing as well when it's pissing it down and the pitch doesn't look great, even though we probably are.

Correct , I think fans are letting frustration of missed chances cloud the fact that we did play well or we wouldn't have missed so many chances.

To be fair at least the Dons fans are saying he is talking shite and that we should have won by 3 or 4.

Game should have been out of sight at half time 5-0 wouldn't have flattered us. Game could have ended 7-3. Aberdeen were better in the 2nd half but we still merited the win despite what some Dons fans seem to think. A bit more shaky at the back than we've been but still covered every blade of mud ☺️ to get the result. If Rangers see the Hearts game out and both Motherwell and Celtic win their games in hand 7 points will separate 4 teams. I will start to get seriously worried ...😁 We still have Hearts twice probs home and away Rangers once probs away Celtic twice probs away and home. 😮😮

If the h**s win today which is looking that way just now, we’d be 10 points behind top with a game in hand. sometimes I have to pinch myself how incredible this season has been. Utterly incredible.
