I actually meant "many" but point still stands. TBH, I'd have been looking for a replacement anyway, as you can't depend on loans. But I'd be happy enough to see him back, and maybe give him the notion to sign a deal next season.
-
Sellik away
-
When things were bad Nick Daws took pelters but now we are doing well he is never mentioned. I would guess he spotted maswanhise and Watt so full credit to him
-
Have we lost any games when he didn't play?
-
What if we don't
-
But it's not just a possible cup final - he's not eligible now to play in any games to get us to the final. OK then. Too many important games that he "CAN'T" play in between now and the end of the season.
-
I wouldnt have him back now either. Celtic chose to recall him. They have now chosen to cup tie him. They will undoubtedly come back and offer him as a makeweight in any deal for Maswanhise. Id be telling them no thanks. Just show us your cash ( lets start at £4m). If they still want to loan him back to us at that point and we still need cover, then Id maybe think about it. But lets do it on our terms, not theirs.

Regarding Tawanda, obviously everyone has a price & a crazy offer means he's gone. What i do think is that hes an asset of increasing value. 23 years old, has really come onto a game & has added goals. The way he is progressing he's going to be worth more in the summer. So basically dont sell unless theres an offer we cant refuse
-
So you would not welcome back one of our best performers this season just because he might miss a couple of games ie league and possibly a cup final against Celtic, ok then.
-
What if we lose our next cup match?
-
It's a pretty rough business to be in. I read somewhere there were over 1000 pubs closed in the UK last year.
-
I think he'd have to be sold to them, though - not on loan. The FIFA rule says you have to complete your contractual obligations at your previous club before you can play for another one with "overlapping seasons" - so his current contract would need to be terminated by a transfer. Or, at least, that's how I was reading it.
-
‘Wishing an injury on a young player’ is not what I did, I said that I hoped there was a reason he was taken off that was other than him having a poor performance having been put on as a second half substitute.
-
Wishing an injury on a young player on his loan debut rather than him simply being taken off for not impressing is a strange take. It turns out he actually did go off injured, which is a real disappointment, and it’s even more disappointing that a fellow fan preferred the idea of him being injured instead of just subbed for a poor debut.
-
Other than us or Celtic the only teams he can play for before the summer now are those whose season is just about to start, so MLS, League of Ireland or one of the Scandinavian leagues.
-
If Birmingham come in with an opening bid of 4.2M we'll push them to 5 I'd think. I love Maswanhise as much as the next person but we're not turning down a 5M pound offer for a player we got for free 18 months ago.
-
Are there any ligit clubs or pubs that remain profitable in this day and age.
-
It's a FIFA rule - Article 5 apparently, if you want to track it down for read. You can only play for 2 clubs in a season. (You can be registered for a maximum of 3 in a season, but you can only play for 2).
-
But hey!! Best fans in the world.....no doubt get a shot of worzel gummidge Stewart if he is there
-
Means Welsh cant play for anyone else this season but sellik sneaky as he is now cup tied, bizarre as he couldn't play against them anyway
-
Leave him where he is now.
- Today
-
Fizoxy saying the same thing. I thought that was just with respect to loans, didn’t realize it applied regardless of Loan or transfer. Is it applicable world wide or just in Scotland?
-
Take a deep breath.🤞
-
He couldn't play for any other club who signed him this season.
