Only got round to watching this last night as there was hee haw on the tv. Im acually raging about the tackle on Just by Oxlade - Chamberlain now. Never thought too much of it at the time and felt a yellow was probably about right, but when you see the pictures that were available to VAR and the intitial point of contact, I just cant fathom how they dont think thats a red card. Especially when Beaton tells them he has a mark on his shin! Least said about the Gordon red card the better. Totally pointless exercise now as they are just using the review to justify decisions and save face, rather than admit mistakes and actually improve the standard of officiating.

Absolutely fascinating podcast! Stuart is a wealth of information on the rich history of our club and love the enthusiasm that both he and Nick have for The Trust. Really looking forward to seeing the improvements around the stadium and hopefully, at some point, a museum! -
I can't imagine Dunfermiline are covering his full wage we gave him a 2.5 year deal when we made him our N1 when Kelly left
-
I can't see us just releasing the Ox, as he still has a year left on his contract. He's highly rated at Dunfermline and they, seemingly, have money to burn (whose money is another question). A loan deal - maybe?
-
I think being realistic I expect that our Squad next season before signings will look like :- GK - Ward, Connolly RB - Sparrow, SOD CB - McGinn, McGhee LB - Longelo, Wilson CM - Watt, Preistman, Fadinger Rw - Said Lw - RCC St - Bjorgolfsson, Hendry Out - Maswanhise (4-5M), Just (2.5-3M), Stamatelopolous (200K), Slattery (Free), Gordon (Free), Nicholson (Free), Oxborough (Released), Koutrombis (Free), Halliday (Free), Robinson (Free), Welsh (Returns to Celtic). (Around 7M in fees) That would leave us needing a minimum of :- (8 Players) - 2 CBs, 1 CM, 2 AMF (Assuming we play same shape),LW, RW and possibly a ST
-
The March review shows mjust how big a problem refereeing/VAR actually is. Totally inconsistent. I don't get the comment about Callum Slattery. Are they looking at footage from the St Mirren game? If so, thats downright ridiculous. If we're going to review decisions from a month ago how far back do they go? If so, that should open the floodgates.
-
Pretty much agree with that although I'd also try to move Callum Hendry on , if at all possible. Jordan McGhee seems to be out of favour and I wouldn't be surprised if we try to move him on. .
-
Any fee for Maswanhise has to go on replacing him. You don’t replace 21 goals so far this season with contract renewals. Nothing wrong with those, but it’s not the same thing.

It's boot on boot, a bit high, above the ankle, contact on the shin, reckless, but since he didn't break his leg, it's probably an orange card - though without the context (we know), every referee would give a red card. Thanks for clearing that up, Willy.

Just is the one I’d prefer we keep for another season but if a crazy offer comes in - somewhere north of £7M which with 2 years left on his contract and considering the points he could make us next season that’s not that crazy - we’d have to take it. *depending on money received for TJ.
-
And was pilloried for it by sections of our media! Precious wee darlings! 😍😍😍

Purely going on what Jens said yesterday. They will NOT all be sold at the same time, as we want to maintain the integrity of the playing squad. Makes sense. We are not just a money making machine. We are here to win football games. We cant stand in any individual players way indefinitely, but if for example good offers come in for Maswanhise and one other, I can see us asking other players to be patient with us. I wouldnt be too worried if Watt or Fadinger had to move on as the replacement is in the building, but I wouldnt be keen to let both move until further replacements had been sourced. I think thats where we can be cute and time it to our advantage. I dont see any last minute deals being done at the end of transfer windows without the ability to replace an outgoing player. Just will be the problem. Where do you find a replacement for him?

I think he gave his view on Hanley the last time Hibs were here.
-
We still have room for improvement but with a wee bit of luck we would easily have been a top 3 team this season and still might be. COYW !
-
On the Scotland squad, I see that Derek Mciness was less diplomatic in his views about the squad than JBA was. Jens knows that Grant Hanley should be nowhere near an International World Cup team so he is being very diplomatic when he choices not to give a view which I think shows the control he has when it comes to things he cannot affect. On tomorrows game, I think we will win. The OF have put a little bit of daylight between us and them over the last few weeks and I think we will do likewise tomorrow with Hibs. You can argue for or against Motherwell being a top 3 side this season but we are definitely a top 4 side and will prove it tomorrow.
-
If we get offered 3 million or more for JT then take it and use some money to give JBA and just improved contracts
-
That would be great but I’m not sure just where we are with contracts for the team and then face loosing them for zilch next season or stupid basement offers next January? Perhaps someone could give us when they are OOC?
-
Perhaps, if/when we qualify for Europe we can firm things up and hopefully keep JBA for another season which could hopefully convince the majority of our preferred players to also to stay here for another season.
-
I dont think the club would stand in the way of any of our sellable assets if a good offer came along, one who might also go is Ward, a keeper who's had 20 clean sheets is a rare commodity in any league. if Jens stays and Mas and however many others go and we get the expected £M’s I'm sure the club will give him a decent increase in funds n wages whilst still being prudent. id love them all to stay with extended contracts but reality calls..
-
The Pars "could easily" afford to pay a 6 figure fee for him.
-
JT needs to end the season with a bang and start scoring a few goals again to keep his stock up and hopefully end up top scorer in the SPFL
-
Ox may be allowed to leave if another club is interested. Can't imagine it being anything other than a free transfer.
-
Ooh interesting, thank you very much, that's actually the day of my 50th.
