Pretty much agree with that Grizzly. Its not an issue for me personally as I drive to and from games. I suspect there's more like me. The issue boils down to extra income for the club. If I didn't drive, it wouldn't cause me any great hardship to go without alcohol for 90 minutes. For some though, its a bit like voting and the suffragettes. Its not about having a drink during games its about the right to have a drink during games if they want to do so. Freedom of choice if you want. All that said, I have no problem if folk drink during games as long as those who can't handle alcohol desist.

If the club can sell booze, it should. And if you don’t want to buy booze, then don’t. We’re all adults, so the option should be there. The constant “don’t do it” approach usually has the opposite effect. Scotland’s alcohol licensing laws are, in general, far more restrictive than elsewhere, and that just encourages folk to fill their boots while they can, rather than pace themselves without fear of the tap being turned off, which in itself leads to more issues. That said, under the current proposals, not all stands have the infrastructure in place to sell booze during the game anyway. For me, I much prefer to meet up and have a few pints before and after the game in an actual pub, but I’d probably still buy a pint at the game if I could.
-
Just my view but I just don't get the point. Folk meet before games for a pint and like me enjoy a few after games. For 90 mins surely folk can cope without a beer. Times have changed and for the 1980 Cup final folk to take a carry oot into ground which caused problems. And for rugby you can have a pint. Always a debate where views will be split but for me it's a no

There seems to be limited info from the club re the alcoholic drinks situation for the game in the DC …..will you have to Q with people purchasing food/ nonalcoholic drinks ?....re products(draught- bottles - wine- spirits)..and most importantly prices Was also wondering what’s the general opinion on this venture………..I attend a couple of English games per season and quite enjoy the availability of a pint at half time ( I know that not the case on Saturday) attended Burnley a couple of weeks ago and was £6 for a pint lager Moretti in the away stand

That should put a few more on the attendance figures! 😆😆😆
-
I only saw bits of the 2nd half, but they definitely played like a team lacking confidence. Hope it lasts.
-
Hearts will drop points, Rangers are on a run of games but are an appalling team and Celtic are a laughing stock. if we get a couple of players in January and get a couple of wins in the next few games I honestly believe we could be right in the mix and sustain it.
-
Douglas Ross is running the line for this one. Make sure we give him pelters!
-
Approach Udinese to get lennon on loan, keep Welsh and see if we can get a striker and mount serious title charge. Ps. Certain Dundee victory on Saturday 🤣🤣
-
Game of two halfs. Celtic should have been out of sight in the first half. They disappeared in the second and could not deal with utds direct up and at them approach. Celtic only playing 2 full backs and one center back is certainly not going to help their cause. We need to beat Dundee and get ourselves in amongst the chasing pack. Get one or two more quality players in and have go for the rest of season. Nothing fear and all to gain in this crazy season.
-
Celtic are hilariously bad again tonight. They could be on new manager bounce by the time we play them.
-
Having come across them at DP v Clyde in first game of season, I said I wouldn't willingly go to another away game , manhandling stewards who were trying to take flares off them...hottest , brightest day of the year...surprised they can dress themselves, never mind go to fitba.
-
I did laugh at that but you know it would be such a Motherwell thing that he gets poached off us before we even get started 🫣
-
Are you MJC. Are you MJC. Are you MJC in disguise? 🤣
-
If we beat Dundee and get by Rangers and Celtic without getting beat, I might come back and argue with you.
-
we're not going to finish above Celtic.
-
We are 10 ahead of utd in 8th place. A nice gap. A draw tonight would be our best result. Keeps celtic close, utd well back and more pressure on celtic.
-
Hoping for Utd to take 3 points of Celtic tonight amd keep them within our reach. Pile the pressure onto Celtic but not enough to get rid of Nancy yet. save that for after our game at Fir park.
-
Depends who JBA's replacement wants to keep
-
The only 1 that may have better offers will be JK. I'd expect Mcginn and SOD to both get extensions given the amount they've played Welsh will most likely be gone. Gordon I'd expect to leave based on game time and Balmer will be off either in January or the Summer.

Yes they do and as I said in my post the stewards aren't blameless but the Well Bois in front of us in the Q going into Tannadice were foul mouthed abusive and generally being obnoxious and entitled this in turn was met by the same reaction from the stewards. It was a situation that was easily avoidable. I find it utterly amazing that how some of our fans can attend every match home and away for 50 odds years, myself included , and have never been ejected from the ground or had any confrontation with the police or stewards. I guess we must just be lucky.

Time to start scouring the training pics to see if he featured this week! 😍😍😍

🤣 I was sitting at the back of the stand chatting to our group before kick off, when a steward approached and eyeballed me. In an aggressive fashion he said standing was not permitted at games. I replied that I knew and that was why I wasn't standing. I also pointed out politely that 80% of the crowd was standing and he should address that. He then kicked off and threatened to have me ejected for disruptive behaviour. A totally manuactured problem. Over the years the stewards at Tannadice and Dens have earned a reputation for being unjustifiably troublesome. Given that and my experience I'm always sceptical of accepting accounts at face value. Yes the behaviour of some in Block E can be OTT at times, but in my admittedly limited dealings with them they've always been perfectly fine.

Why not? We're in the hunt, could strengthen, I'll still stand by the Motherwell mantra, not last, and not 2nd last

To be fair, you do seem like a trouble maker that stweards need to keep an eye on... When we were relegated to the First Division, I used to get searched by the Polis at away grounds on a regular basis. Not sure why other than I often used to have a radio (for the half time scores) in my coat pocket.
