  1. Past hour
  2. I'm old and ADHD, the memory of both games melted together
  3. Word on the street was MJC tipped us for a 4-0 win that night hence it going pear shaped. I was at game but cant really remember much
  4. Thanks for checking that. I must have been mixing seasons but I knew that Dundee Utd game was important. Was a huge anti climax.
  5. I remember being at a dinner and had Paul Lambert sitting beside me. This was maybe about 6/7 yrs ago and he was good company…. As in he spoke more about Motherwell than Dortmund or Celtic (albeit he knew I was a Motherwell fan) but he spoke of the annoyance in the squad at the end of that season as they felt they blew it and we should have won the league as our team was good enough. He also went on about McLeish a bit too, but that’s another story.
  6. Today
  7. Had a look at the London Hearts website, where you can check results and league tables game by game. 1994/95, we were 15 or 16 points adrift from January onwards. The midweek we lost at home to Dundee Utd and Rangers lost to Hibs was 30th April 1994. I knew it was close, but I can't believe how close. If we had won that match, we'd have been 2 points behind Rangers with 2 games left to play - they took 1 point from those games.
  8. Matty Connelly extends his contract until the end of the 2026/27 season, with the club holding the option of a further year.
  9. I think we were at one point. My memory was that had we won against Dundee Utd and Rangers lost ( as they did at Easter Road) the gap would have been two points coming into the final 6/7 games. As it was Dundee Utd won, we stayed 5 points adrift and had a terrible end to the season finishing 15 points behind. Our form thereafter dropped off a cliff with McLeish. I think he had been benefitting from the afterglow of Tommy McLean's success. I am relying purely on memory so I can't remember the details but it was close up until mid March, early April.
  10. This run of back to back games is good practice for our european group stages adventure next season
  11. Not sure it’s any better, but I thought I read it was Nick Walsh on Wednesday night!
  12. 1993/94 was the closest we came, wee Tommy's last season. Rangers collapsed at the end and we finished 4 points behind them in 3rd. We finished 2nd under McLeish the following year, but we were miles behind Rangers. I don't think we were ever really in with a realistic chance that season.
  13. Sure it was the same season, lost something like 4 of last 6 games to fall away
  14. I have a memory of heading to Firpark one midweek in Spring when Alex McLeish was manager for a Dundee Utd game when we were on the coat tails of Rangers. My memory was being disappointed by the attendance for what seemed like a very important game. It was a very flat performance that I think we lost 1-0. Rangers were at Hibs and also lost but it effectively ending the title challenge. I am not sure if that was the same season.
  15. Anybody looking in .......... Club have decided to run a second bus.
  16. 2 games, yesterday and st mirren on Saturday..........oh hold on.......joewark and texan beat me to it 🤪🤪🤪
  17. My memory may be playing tricks on me but weren’t we still in with a title chance in March / April 1995
  18. We have Celtic away and Hearts away before the split. Is that a mountain to climb or an opportunity? Many would call it a mountain. JBA would call it an opportunity.
  19. I started to write about the team for Wednesday night but there are so many options it quickly became way to complicated so I’ll wait and see what JBA decides and the good news there, is that Aberdeen will also have to wait. I’m hoping for a bit more out of JT and Said in this game.
  20. 2 league games and of course one of them already served yesterday. edit: i see Joe Wark beat me to it
  21. Usually Celtic have won it or are only need of a couple of points to win it at the split. So perhaps this year we’ll go into the split where 4 teams actually have a chance to win it.
  22. What I did notice yesterday while waiting outside for my mate was the amount of young kids going by with their parents. Never really noticed it before but it was great to see the amount of mums dads and kids all decked out in C&A. Can only bode well for the future.
  23. Im more worried about us coming out of this tie with no injury concerns going by Aberdeens physical approach yesterday which will no doubt be the same on Wednesday. A difficult pitch won't help but as long as we don't get sucked into a physical battle and concentrate on our own game then I think we'll be fine. Might even go to extra time in this one.
  24. Its two. Missed yesterday and will miss St Mirren.
  25. How many games is Fadinger suspended for
