  1. Past hour
  2. Semi final obviously huge but we need to get points on board so cant afford to rest players but definitely don't risk ones where the pitch could be a factor. We are so close to giving someone a right doing but need to be decisive in final ball and switched on defensively
  3. We have got a home game v Dundee United in between.
  4. Today
  5. Its gonna be interesting to see who is risked on the plastic pitch. I know its a significantly better surface than the previous incarnation, but it still has to be a consideration. With Stama and Hendry both coming back from injuries it could be a tight call up front (Surely Osong doesnt start?). Also with Koutroumbis and Longelo both going off flast week, will both be fit enough to be considered? Big decisions for the manager with one eye inevitably being on the semi final......
  6. Good to see we now have a proper step over coach.
  7. There's more chance of Jim Paterson solving the striking issue.
  8. We'll see on Saturday. I'm always sceptical of pre match injury stories. Shane Blaney injured again.
  9. Nice one, Big Filip back in the stands can only mean a return can't be far away! He may solve our striking issue with Robinson....
  10. Was a decent player in a very good attacking side! Nice to have him onboard coaching...
  11. Just looking forward to the game again, and hopefully we can put to bed last weeks 2nd half performance. I’ve no doubt they’ll have been working hard all week on the good and bad of the Falkirk game so let’s see where it goes. I am genuinely quite relaxed on the points tally and league position for now but The defeat bugged me quite a bit on Saturday, more so due to Falkirk’s incredibly annoying fan base online and Brian Graham and Scot Arsefield being on a winning team against us ….. but I’m willing to forgive and forget if we beat Livi 🤣 have a feeling it may be a draw though.
  12. It’s really weird watching our games from that time, it’s a period when i know I was there but have few memories of any decent moments. we had a strange mixture of players too. 3 or 4 really good ones but mixed in with a massive amount of hard working dross players.
  13. My first ever Motherwell kit as a youngster. Loved that strip
  14. Remember it well. Strolled through a game on a pleasant evening. The only reason we were on the telly was because, in those days, the rules said if you wanted to show the highlights of an English or Europoean Cup game when there were Scottish games being played, you had to show highlights from a Scottish game too. And we were the best option that night.
  15. I see Livi have quite a few defenders injured so hopefully we can take advantage. Putting positive spin on season , apart from jambos and sellik the most league wins any team has after that is 2!!, only one more than us. Just shows you how tight the league is. Yes doesn't disguise fact we should be on 14 or 15 pts but it's a job in progress and we all need to be on board. Last thing we need is bad vibes from the stands. Fine tuning still required but JBA has transformed us in a short time and I am sure come January will have more targets lined up that suit our style. COYW
  16. In ma late 50's now and living in Inverclyde so will walk to/from Hampden from the toon. When living in Wishy I'd get train to Rutherglen and walk fae there. Can't really get easy parking within a mile but sure there will be streets 20+ mins walk away if you're early enough and know where to go? Funny, as a teenager I'd no problem being in the west terracing for that Spain gemme Nov 84 even though you're in a different post code to the goals down the far end. What a great night that was and was in very same spot for 91 cup final. Think my fav spot was the north terracing, saw my first Inglin gemme there 85. Dickie Gough's header and it pished doon all gemme. McStay's 30 yarder against Iceland(?) and U16 youth world cup final were other highlights from that spot. Aside fae the mascots' granddads beating us course. Nowadays I'd never want to be stuck in a seat behind the goal.
  17. 81/82 the florally type script M was used on TV
  18. Yesterday
  19. Having a wee look around the internet found these..... https://www.motherwellnet.com/fact-file/a-to-z/club-crest/
  20. Ive never seen that crest either (I do like it). Not sure we had an official one before the current one? Certainly not on our shirts. I only ever recall the MFC script that we have on our away shirts.
  21. Go on.....ah bet ye had a wee chuckle 🤪🤪🤪🤪
  22. Not one of our finest seasons, but I did like that kit.
  23. Doubt it, it rains a lot there, does it not ?
  24. One things for sure this next 10 days has the potential to be the best we've had in years or the absolute worst. No one can say its boring.
  25. Haven't seen these highlights before, from 1978, Wullie P and Peter M and a cracking kit.
  26. 1982 ish we changed to the now traditional badge, TV had a weird club crest that wasn't that one before that, quite possibly from those cigarette cards back in the day, I just don't recall ever seeing that one.
