Having a wee look around the internet found these..... https://www.motherwellnet.com/fact-file/a-to-z/club-crest/
-
Ive never seen that crest either (I do like it). Not sure we had an official one before the current one? Certainly not on our shirts. I only ever recall the MFC script that we have on our away shirts.
-
Go on.....ah bet ye had a wee chuckle 🤪🤪🤪🤪
-
Not one of our finest seasons, but I did like that kit.
-
Doubt it, it rains a lot there, does it not ?
-
One things for sure this next 10 days has the potential to be the best we've had in years or the absolute worst. No one can say its boring.
-
Haven't seen these highlights before, from 1978, Wullie P and Peter M and a cracking kit.
-
1982 ish we changed to the now traditional badge, TV had a weird club crest that wasn't that one before that, quite possibly from those cigarette cards back in the day, I just don't recall ever seeing that one.
-
I’m not sure it is, it seems to be legit? I think? Maybe there’s some folk out there who will know. I like it anyway, looks pretty good.
-
I've never seen that either, could it be an AI attempt?
-
https://x.com/footballmemorys/status/1980729220390068316?s=46&t=8C9VuM5V_21MGVj9jGzzoA just saw this and I wonder why we’d get rid of such a brilliant club crest. I have to admit, this is the first time I’ve saw this in my life.

Its a doctor you need , the attempts at humour are getting worse 🤦♂️

It's not just the defence that is the issue when we concede, it's what the entire team is doing when we don't have possession. When we stick to plan, we generally do the right things to get back into shape quickly , compress space and shut them down. When we don't stick to the plan, we sometimes lose the plot and panic, leaving big gaps all over the place. While that has happened in spells this season, for some reason against Falkirk we spent the entire 2nd half playing that way. All the more surprising after the first half performance.
-
Jim Paterson had been coaching with club for some time; I'd guess almost 2 years but I couldn't say in which precise capacity. Despite what many may think he was one of the fastest players on our books at the time.
-
He's maybe off to Gloucester! 🤪🤪
-
I have trouble keeping up with the coaching staff appointments across the teams these days. I only recently discovered Paul Smith was at Falkirk.
-
Definitely need to get a few wins but I would stress all the other teams in league are having similar issues. Check amount of draws there have been. I still feel we have a keeper who doesn't inspire confidence and dread another big error at a crucial moment but defence in general needs tightened up. Definitely need big Gordon back alongside Welsh. I am a big McGinn fan but I don't think he's great against big physical sides

I’m not sure about “buy in”. I’d say buy in would mean having patience and belief in the new approach being the way forward if we want to have a better football team on the park along with the understanding that it may take time to yield results. Unfortunately, fans are not well renowned for patience and understanding. We may not be able to fix our issues till next season after the summer transfer window. I’ll be ok with finishing 10th and continuing to play the excellent stuff we have seen so far. Having said that I’m confident of us not being in a relegation dog fight come the end of the season. As JBA says, “it’s where you finish at the end of the season that defines your season”. It’s not where you are after first round of fixtures.

He was sitting in the POD beside the rest of the staff and players on Saturday. Beside Stuparevic. First time I have spotted him. Usually check to see who is there......and who is not.
-
I agree with this. Next 3 games are huge. The manager and team have had a lot of buy in from the majority of the support over the new philosophy as we can see the long term benefits of what it could bring. But the cup semi final and more entertaining football aside, there havent been the tangible results required to prove it can also be successful. We need something from the next week to hang on to, otherwise the murmurings from the more reactionary within our support will begin to be more audible.
-
Probably enough been mentioned already.
-
Ok, so he is away but not been announced by club yet?
-
Yeah but I've already seen comments on social media like "get this tippy happy stuff to fuck, we just need to win" or "Id rather watch shite and win" granted it's only a few voices but I can see it now if we end up bottom of the league and out the cup. Fans are fickle that's why the next 3 games are extremely important. Embed the feel good factor keep the impressive uptick in attendances that's what three good results can do.
