  2. Funnily enough when I asked copilot to identify managers who would not criticise their fanbase regardless of external condemnation of behaviour (tbf it’s not just Celtic) Brendan Rodgers came in as first suggestion😜
  3. Today
  4. Maybe it’s just that the Celtic board wouldn’t spring for the £20 to purchase Co-pilot or Claude to do a search once the Green Brigade didn’t want Keane (rightly or wrongly) 😉
  5. The choice of Fletcher over Lennon or indeed any of the others with far more first team experience is last straw for me with Clarke and his overall judgement as a manager. Fletcher may turn out to be as good or better than his dad and will have plenty of opportunities to demonstrate this in upcoming campaigns but there can’t be any serious expectation that he will play any part in this WC. Maybe Lennon wouldn’t have either but has at least been involved with squad and (unless has pissed off some senior players - doubtful) would have contributed far more to preparation and training. As it is I can realistically see Scotland finishing in last place either losing all three or a single shitfest point so perhaps Lennon is well out of it. As some others have said my enthusiasm for this WC is at an all time low.
  6. What is our highest earner on Liam Kelly was allegedly on 3k a week but i can't say I've kept up to date with our wage structure I always kind of imagined we'd be like 2-3 'Better' players on - 2.5 - 3K P/W Starting 11/impact subs - 1.5 - 2K P/W Squad players - 1 - 1.3K P/W Youth players - £500 P/W
  7. The Celtic job is toxic, from the current boards to the most embarassing and obnoxcious fans in the world no decent manager will go near the job, O'Neil is the cheap does as he is told "celtic man" option, till they turn on him if results are poor.

    Our New Manager

Well at least we don’t have a bitter old pensioner in charge of us for a year. Talk about a cheap appointment.
  9. From what I remember they used to keep shifting their debt around from individuals to financial institutions to investors, without really paying it down.

    Our New Manager

They’ve been hovering around the threat of administration for about 20 years. I’ve no idea how they’ve managed to avoid it and stay afloat.HMRC are never away from them.
  11. I'm surprised VAR didn't award a couple of goals to Maeda so that he would get it instead.
  12. An impressive achievement to top an impressive season.
  13. Yesterday
  14. Was on route but apparently changed direction! 🤪
  15. Anyone out by Wishaw Golf Club know if the helicopter has arrived yet? Unfortunately it wasn't our new manager. It was William Stobart.😭
  16. They're just excited to be linked to a player who's name they can spell, and don't have to try and spell mazzanoozoo anymore.
  17. Mckenna with Dinamo Zagreb and doing well. You say 5 strikers but bear in mind three of them are Dykes, Adams and Hirst!
  18. The same wallopers that said Jens was going to parkheid. Have a good world cup and Eli will have plenty admirers
  19. I dont think it's an English thing, I think he's gone with recency bias and decided in Fletcher because he was looking right at him when a decision had to be made, and allowed that to cloud his judgement. It absolutely should have been Miller that replaced Gilmour. On the original 26 he probably looked at Mcginn, Christie, mctominay, Gilmour, Ferguson and mclean as the main group, with the first 3 lilely being the starters. I'm fine with more strikers, you need potential impact players in tournaments. The squad has a fair mix of Scottish (at least 7), English, and abroad based players (Italy and Saudi at least, forgot where mckenna is playing), and also some relatively new call-ups in Curtis, Hyam and Fletcher, and while he has his favorites, i dont think that there's many legitimate shouts for guys that have been hard done by. I'm not as down on Clarke as most, but my gripe with him is the way we play, less than who he selects.
  20. Because Clarke has a hard-on for anyone who plays south of the border? He'd probably take the guy who cuts the grass at the Etihad before he'd take someone like Miller to the tournament.
  21. A remote medical from the NZ team's camp in San Diego? Even if he was going there - which I doubt - no way we'd set a price until after his World Cup is over.
  22. Seen a number of the thick unwashed saying that Just has 'awredy hud a medacul' at parkheed......
  23. Aye, because I genuinely believed that was how his name was spelled and wasn’t making a joke at the expense of the thick Celtic and Rangers fans.
  24. I remember when McCall tried to sign Çiftçi he said Dundee Utd were offering double what we could afford. I don't know if they are still as generous, but I doubt when Tony Watt left us he moved there for footballing reasons.
  25. Rangers, Celtic are monumentally bigger Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs are massive in comparison to us. Utd act like they are, but not by much. Then its us and the other big 'provincial' clubs
  26. Dundee United will be paying about 25% more than we do. However they are a financial basket case.
  27. I don't know if I'd classify them as "much bigger", but I'm not sure we can say that we're bigger than Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Hibs, Dundee United & Aberdeen. On crowd and budget, that collection right there should be the default top six. Granted, we rarely see a season where all six of them are on form and performing to their potential, which usually means one or two slip out of the top six, and that's where ourselves, St Mirren, Killie, Dundee etc can take advantage.
