  1. Past hour
  2. I think a reasonable guess as to how the season might now finish would be 1. Celtic 2. Hearts 3. Rangers 4. Motherwell I have been really surprised by Hearts. I thought the wheels would have come off before now and it hasn't so they are genuine title contenders now. I do wonder how the table would look just now if we had held on at Tynecastle for the win. Much as I hate to say it, Chris Sutton is right. Over a full season you need the resources to stay competitive. JBA has played a blinder rotating the squad but Celtic, Rangers and Hearts will be able to strengthen in January in a way that Motherwell can't. 4th place would be a sensational result this season should it happen.
  3. To be fair it’s given it’s a bit of a stretch to seriously consider us to win the league - Leicester would be the comparison and I’m sure they were leading at Xmas . finish in top 6 will be fabulous - top 4 would be amazing - anything more needs a level of magic for us and further disaster for others.
  4. Chris Sutton is a full-pelt moron. Being a Celtic fan is basically membership of a delusional cult, so it’s no surprise he’s as thick as he sounds.
  5. Today
  6. So to be fair rangers should also not be in a realistic title discussion.
  7. To be fair, I think we are currently too far behind to be in a realistic title discussion. If we extend our unbeaten run for another 10 games, then we can talk.
  8. He does know that pretty recently we just had 19 changes over a few games? Or maybe he doesn’t but I’m more than happy for the media to write us off and underestimate us. the league table doesn’t lie.
  9. Yesterday
  10. Did anyone hear 5live tonight? Chris Sutton was on discussing Hearts title race etc. then the host said let’s not forget Motherwell. Sutton’s response was “you’re having a laugh theyre playing well but have serious lack of depth in the squad”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Not bothered whether Jens plays Hendry or Stama. We will get a similar shift out of either and its hard to call which if any are more likely to score. Maybe Stama edges it as he at least has the confidence of his penalties to boost his confidence. I agree re Said and RCC. Although Id play Cookie on the left in front of Longelo. I think he is more effective there and Said can play fine on the right side. Id keep Slattery as a straight Just replacement as we will no doubt rotate fairly early with the 2 games in 4 days coming up.
  12. I think I’d start AP in this one or maybe even push Cook inside and play Said as well
  13. Celtic should also have easily beat Utd. They missed a handful of sitters but regardless I hope they are mentally on a downer.
  14. Want to see him and his team do well but then I also want him back ASAP so hope does well and they narrowly miss qualifying
  15. Mas on for last 3 minutes
  16. I don't mean it will be easy if he is in charge, I just meant if he got punted the fans would be boosted if it was o'neill back. If sellik had a striker they would have destroyed Aberdeen yesterday. Mind you we have sane issues striker wise. Hendry looks so down when he misses chances, if he can get one then hopefully confidence increases
  17. Zimbabwe v Egypt on channel 4 streaming channel. Zimbabwe leading 1-0. Mas on the bench
  18. If the last six months have taught us anything, it’s that JBA knows exactly what he’s doing at Motherwell, so I fully expect a good January transfer window.
  19. When does the transfer window 'slam' open ?
  20. Did any if us honestly have Just, Fadinger, Said or even Watt (from our own league) on their radar? Im guessing very few of us. I'de like to think the manager has a few irons in the fire that we wont have a clue about.
  21. What little he has had to do, he has done well and has contributed ton the run of 6 clean sheets.
  22. Kofi Balmer interesting Derry City after Ross County deal went cold.
  23. I don't think Nancy is the mug that the Scottish media are making him out to be They dominated Aberdeen yesterday and whilst it is hard to get a true picture given that Aberdeen were down to 10 men, Celtic could have scored 5/6 goals. If Nancy's system starts to click they will give some teams a real going over. I think that our performances this season have matched Hearts and the two teams are very closely matched so if Hearts can beat Rangers we can certainly match Rangers. I can't see them step up their performance levels significantly. We could come away with six points over the next two weeks, we could come away with nothing, but we are quickly establishing ourselves as a genuine top 4 side and even one victory in the two games would be a real statement of intent. The fact that we are even considering these possibilities is dreamland after some fairly barren seasons. Unfortunately the nature of the beast is that if we should come away with all 6 JBA will be on the shopping list for any big UK club struggling over the Christmas period.
