It will always be given if it is the arse cheeks , no chance any other team , especially when it leads to a defeat for them.
-
The penalties that the arse cheeks get all stonewallers if you listen to their scumbag fans. Fortunately I dont.
-
Exactly my point. We have been very good at playing out from the back and as a bi-product, teams are getting very little of the ball to do anything with. Its just when they do, we arent defending our box very well. We have conceded 7 goals in the league and gifted 5 of those by not doing our jobs properly.
-
Definitely has not been a bad weekend at all results wise I was happy with Hibs drawing with Dundee United , said it last night the gap from 3rd to 10th/11th is so close right now anything could happen
-
It did take a slight deflection but not much, with the arm away from the body though it was always going to be given, especially as the ball was on target.
-
I actually thought our style of play of playing it our from the back would result in a few more silly goals but it hasn't. The goals we are losing has nothing to do with our style of playing out from the back it just rank bad defending and goalkeeping.
-
I think their fans are trying to say the ball smacked off another player and then hit the player that the penalty was given against. I've not watched it yet though.
-
The Celtic penalty was a stonewaller to be fair, arm away from the body, ball heading for goal deflected away, an easy one for VAR
-
I was switching between the Burnley v Liverpool game and the Killie game the difference in the pitches was shocking, how the SFA / SPFL allow it to be used for top level games is a disgrace.
-
I dont think he has had a real run of games until this season. Last season he came in with no pre season, got injured twice then broke his wrist. We have what we have until January. If his record doesnt improve by then, I will maybe concede he needs moved on. Until then we need him to contribute until Hendry, Osong etc are fit enough to push him for a starting spot. Im happy enough that Maswanhise will get us enough goals to keep us out of trouble, but we need someone to lead the line and at the moment Stama is it. We do need to stop shipping gsoft goals though. Its great that we do that mostly by just keeping the ball, butnit would be great if we didnt concede pretty much every time we give away cheap possession!

Yes I think I’d be pretty raging if that was given against us but it wasn’t against us so…there we are. And we’re now a point, and a goal, ahead of Kettlewell’s Killie so I’ll take that. After the frustrations of the last few games I’ll enjoy this particular positive. 😀

Wee Eddie Munster was having a meltdown in that post match interview. good times
- Today

Every away team that is required to play on that embarrassment-to-Scottish-football of a pitch should be awarded 2 penalties per match as compensation.
-
Looks like they were pretty much robbed of a penalty themselves and the one against them looked questionable. But who cares - fuck them.
-
Feel dirty for saying this but I was pretty happy to see Celtic beat Killie with a last minute winner today. Most importantly it keeps us a point ahead of Kilmarnock but of course it also sickens Kettlewell and deprives him of a result he couldn’t get whilst with us - a home draw with Celtic. Roon ye Dracula! Stick yer paper roses up yer arse

Its was shocking and the road works into Dundee were horrendous. Traffics at a standstill . Those parking restrictions round the ground are a pain in the arse too. I left East Kilbride at 12.00 to try and avoid the nightmare parking and got to Dundee at 2.15. A journey that normally takes me 1.30 taking 2.15 .
-
Edit: Wrong thread.
-
My take on yesterday is that the road infrastructure around the "Queensferry Crossing" is a total cluster f**k. Left home at 1.15 had only reached the outer appraches of the bridge at 2.30, turned around and came home. F**k you road planners.
-
My 2 takeaways (as they say) from yesterday's game are: Welsh looks a decent addition to the defence. We are less effective when Slattery and Just are both absent from the starting lineup Defensively, we're making less mistakes than last season - still too many, but made worse by the fact we aren't killing off the game at the other end when we have the chance.
-
We had two great chances to score a second. JT should have buried his chance and when Stama crashed into the post, all he had to do was get a touch on the ball but he completely missed the ball about 2 yards from goal. having said that, I still can’t believe Murray missed his chance at the other end late on to beat us.
-
I hear what you’re saying and I share the concerns about injuries, but honestly, how many more chances does he need before he stops fluffing his lines or getting caught on his heels? With a clinical centre forward and sharper decision making across the team, several of those draws would already be wins. I’m still positive about JBA and the team in general, but I guess I just have to accept we’re stuck with a busted flush for another season at least.
-
I’m not disagreeing with that assessment, but if our number 9 got himself into better positions in the box, the others would have more options to pick out. Good centre forwards create options, whereas Stama always seems to be on his heels. Someone else called him the nearly man, and that feels pretty accurate. If we’re going to persist with him up front, and that’s if he hasn’t injured himself trying to take out the goalpost yesterday, we’ll probably need to adjust how we play in the final third and use him more as a creator for others rather than the finisher.

When the deck is Jordan McGhee going to put in an appearance.
-
As Ive said elesewhere, I think a big problem next week could be injuries. With Koutoumbis, Welsh and Stama all going off with some sort of pull/tweak/injury on top of the others we already have (McGinn, Hendry, Slattery, McGhee, Sparrow) then we could be severely limited as to the team we can put out. Hopefully some of them are just minor/precautions and it wont look as bad as Im projecting.

Harry Paton never had footwork that good! 😍😍😍
