  1. Past hour
  2. This is desperate, desperate stuff, intit? The Celtic "fairy dust" isn't as strong as their deluded fans imagine. I remember Tommy Coyne telling them where they could go when they came sniffing around him again during his long, hot spell at Fir Park (wottaguy!). All our boys will be out for the three points on Wednesday so COYW!
  3. Funniest scenario would be if JBA gives Halliday a 3 minute "goodbye" cameo at the end of the match and he concedes a pen that leads to a Celtic win. The OF conspiracy nuts would be trying to work that one out until this time next year.
  4. Obviously Watt will try as he’s off to Rangers, Just probably not since he’s Celtic bound. Surely it depends if JBA has said to Slats and Faddy there’s a place for them in the East End with him next season 😜
  5. All four of Celtic backline were booked in today’s game showing they can be got at and panic. Definitely think we’re getting something out of this. And as good as Maeda’s overhead was today he missed two easier chances. Gordon and SODs will have him/them in pocket anyway 😊
  6. Today
  7. They're basically accusing our players of cheating. I can't imagine any professional not playing to win, especially when we still haven't guaranteed our European spot. Can you imagine guys like Watt, Just, Fadinger and Slattery thinking "Aye, let's lose this one"?
  8. One or two Jambos spouting the same pish on Pie & Bovril. Welsh cant play, McGinn is said to be injured, which leaves SOD as the only identifiable "Sellic Man" in our team, and I think he has done enough in his time here to prove that lying down is not in his make up.
  9. Agree with that. Despite assurances that VAR wouldn't be refereeing games, it quickly headed in that direction and players are trying to use it to their advantage.
  10. One of the good things about this team is that, even when we are not playing at our best, the workrate and detrmination to run for one another is always there. Im not saying we have enough to win on Wednesday. But we certainly have enough about us not to lose, regardless of who starts. Gonna be another cracking night under the lights.
  11. I read a few Sevco fans already spouting their conspiracy theories last night that Motherwell were going to lie down to Celtic because of all the "Celtic connections" in our team and because JBA wants the Celtic job. Peak OF paranoia. You'd think if they were that worried they wouldn't have rolled over in today's game.
  12. I thought the referee got all the big decisions correct so fair play to him. Shankland pushes Welsh for the Hearts goal, Maswanhise stands on Kyziridis foot but football is a physical game, I don't see either as fouls. Teams are appealing for every marginal decision these days hoping to get a soft decision on review. We did it, Hearts did it. It's just another negative aspect of VAR.
  13. Id love him to still be here next season, but realistically? He deserves a big move. I just hope its to a different league and for a hefty transfer fee. We will need to replace him somehow!
  14. Celtic have kept 1 clean sheet in their last 12 league matches and that was against St Mirren who can't score against anyone. So there should be at least 1 goal there for us. Celtic's last 5 away matches they have a draw, a loss and three jammy 2-1 wins. Clearly this game is doing to be down to how we defend. If we can keep Celtic to 1 or 0 we are probably getting something out the game. We have some defensive issues but only Falkirk have scored more than once against us at Fir Park since August so I still think we should be going into this match with confidence. And lets remember we are playing for guaranteed European football so it's not like are just playing to spoil someone else's party. Although that would be nice too...
  15. Just seems to have an auto-charge function. He runs about like a maniac, gets chopped and looks like he's crocked. Then 10 seconds later, jumps back up again and off he goes. If he has a strong World Cup he could bring in a nice transfer fee. Not that I want him to leave, but he's been my player of the season. Fantastic business bringing him in.
  16. Same players, though, and they were fortunate to beat us at Celtic park with the dodgy pen. And just as reminder, only Falkirk have picked up 3 points at Fir Park this season.
  17. Justin Amaluzor playing his part in Gimsby Town's first minute opener in the League Two play-off semi final.
  18. They also had a manager completely out his depth and they were in the middle of one of their worst domestic runs in decades. That takes nothing away from how brilliant we were that night as all of that was outwith our control but I strongly suspect that things will be different on Wednesday night as they will be going hell for leather to get the result.
  19. Our starting 11 last time we cuffed them at Fir Park was: Ward O'Donnell Sparrow McGinn Koutroumbis Slattery Fadinger Watt Priestman Said Just
  20. Going to be a very tough game on Wednesday with some key defenders missing. We best be keeping a high percentage of posession, although, having Fadinger back should help. I really want us going into last game with 4th spot tied up. Not sure that Rangers will help us any as they are now stuck in third spot with nothing to play for. Come on Motherwell let’s finish home schedule on a high and beat Celtic again.
  21. He definitely has been targetted. The number of fouls committed on him in the last few games has been quite ridiculous. I know he is quick and often nips the ball away before his opponent, but they are all leaving the foot in to ensure they stop him breaking away. Thankfully he is young(ish) and quite hardy for a wee guy.
  22. Noticing a trend recently with opposition targeting Just for 'special' treatment. Were all three Hearts bookings for fouls on him?
  23. Thats really shit if confirmed. Means we probably have to go with Gordon and SOD in the middle on Wednesday. Thankfully Johnny K is back so hopefully he can at least start and give us 60 minutes as I dont fancy having Sparrow outside Gordon.
  24. Last time we beat them with SOD, Sparrow, McGinn and Koutroumbis at the back and no centre forward.
  25. Re the penalties. For me, Kyziridis is running away from goal and has lost control of the ball. There is slight contact from Maswanhise, but Kyziridis heels are spring loaded and he throws himself to the ground quite embarassingly. Ive seen them given, and I would have been screaming for it, but I think McLean gets that right, and fairplay to him for standing his ground. My justification for that is the foul on Welsh for Shanklands goal. I dont think there was enough in that either, but there is way more contact than the penalty claim and the push stops Welsh getting any sort of jump on the ball. Boyd and McFadden apply double standards there. If they think Kyziridis is a stonewall pen then it has to be a foul on Welsh. You cant have it both ways. As for JTs pen. I was certain it was a pen at the game but when you see it slowed down, he definitely kicks the Hearts players leg and loses his balance. No pen for me.
  26. I hope we can get a result on Wednesday, going to be difficult especially with a lot of defenders out and a centre forward who has fone hee haw since transfer window shut. Fingers crossed. COYW
