I thought the opposite RE Hendry. Think he may be the missing link we're looking for up front. Good touch, strong and looked like he was well up for it. Osong- Didn’t do a whole lot, but it's early days. Thought stama was poor again today. Can't hold the ball up, too lightweight!

There ye are now! 😍😍😍
-
Yep, 1 definitely maybe 2 , pity as he has been ok so far surely that's bslmer finished tho , trying to play offside for 2nd and then no challenge
-
See if you had just stopped your post there...... It wasnt a bottle job. It was naive tactically from the manager and a mixture of tiredness, poor discipline and bad decision making from the players. Also, we may not have won a league game yet, but we are also undefeated against 3 of the better teams in the league at 2 of the harder venues. For the first 60 minutes thats as good as Ive seen us play in a long long time. The 3rd goal is an absolute thing of beauty. For a brand new team and manager its always going to be a work in progress at this stage. Today IS a sore one because of the circumsrances and we DO need to learn from the mistakes we are making, but how enjoyable is it to watch compared to last year?
-
A huge setback and no getting away from but that but certainly not a disaster either. A point at Tynecastle is always a good result when the dust settles. We just need that first win on the board.
-
I’ll take that disappointment today and forget about it if we go out and blow Killie and Kettlewell away next week.
-
Yup , there is no excuse for throwing away 3pts with 25 to play. I can imagine JB raging with them. A setback today but we dust ourselves down ahead of next week
-
Personal view is we dominated via midfield for 60 mins and were coasting. Hearts bulked up in midfield and we withdrew Slattery and put on forward players. I thought Hearts dominated us for the final 30 and honestly could have won, which would have been even more gutting. I don't think it's all down to the defence or keeper, we didn't react well to their subs and made formational changes and poor subs that for me lost our way completely . The joys of being a Well fan.

Mcginn has been a solid player for us but there's no way we should have been starting this season with him as a first choice.
-
No arguments there and again we have shown some really promising stuff, the type of which was never evident under our previous three managers. You can see what JBA is doing and he is building a competitive team which we need to hope comes good, but as I said we need to make that count by turning draws into wins. It’s early days though still. To take a step back, looking at our opening fixtures…Rangers(H), St.Mirren and Heats(A) to come through that unbeaten is commendable. However as I said context is important with draws and I’m afraid 3-0 up with 20 to go and end up hanging on for a point isn’t good enough. Next week at home against Kilmarnock is crucial, we NEED to pick up all three points.
-
We were different class for an hour then took our foot of the gas when we scored the 3rd then couldn't get going again.the defence has been solid the first couple of games but we still have too many from last season that aren't good enough, there's some real positives to take from today but also we need to learn from the mistakes and quick.
-
Thank goodness someone can see McGinn was mainly at fault for the second standing with hand in the air claiming offside when he was the man playing him onside, the same thing happened again later in the match.
-
Absolutely disappointing to be 3-0 up and draw in those circumstances On a positive note still unbeaten in league and cup, if we beat Kettlewell's Killie next weekend all will be forgotten by me
-
Just was brilliant again, looks like being a fantastic buy. i did think many others did great for an hour and then we caved collectively. I Didn’t see anything in Hendry or Osong when they came on which was disappointing
-
Really not sure how to feel about that. Would have bit your hand off for a point before kick off, but 3-0 up the game should be done! Jens is going to have to think about where the balance lies between playing our football and making sure we take home the 3 points. Think we lost the midfield when Slattery came off and Spittal came on. Totally understand taking him off on a yellow card with the lead we had, but hindsight would suggest that is a mistake. Poor defending for the first allowing the overload back post and poor keeping for the second (through his legs) and the 3rd (palming it out). Still a work in progress and we kinda knew this is how our "style" couldl pan out, but still a sore one in the end.
-
If the game had continued we'd have lost. That fourth was coming sooner rather than later.
-
2 of our first 3 games have been home to rangers and away to hearts plus away to st mirren. Not an easy start to season. We are a job in progress and I believe in Askou.
-
And hopefully McGhee will be back soon. But the woeful McGinn and Balmer ....dear oh dear.
-
If you had told me we had thrown away 4 points from our first three games this season, I would have laughed at you.

numpty started following MOTM Hearts 23-Aug-2025

For over an hour we were by far the best team and played Hearts off the park. Became too cavalier and should’ve put Halliday on after we went 3-0. Manager needs to learn how and when to close a game down. Still would’ve taken a point from here beforehand.
-
Well before the game you’d snap the arm off anyone who offers you a draw at Tynecastle against an in form Hearts side. But context is everything with draws. Regardless of what was another very good first half performance and a strong start to the second half we have thrown away a 3-0 lead with less than twenty minutes left and that is totally and utterly unacceptable, as well as being completely unprofessional. So it’s two points dropped rather than a point gained and as I said earlier it was a classic Motherwell bottle job. We are now in the position of being three league games into the season and have no wins to our name. We even needed extra time against St.Johnstone last week to secure League Cup progression. Today should ring alarm bells loud and clear to anyone who thinks this team is capable of top six this season, because until we actually manage to win football matches then that is pie in the sky. Not good enough Motherwell.
-
From 3-0 up dominating play, Hearts being battered and we fecked it up big time, another 2 points thrown away. I don't think we can blame our forwards for this one, a shambles of a defence again that cant close a game out, still we never lost but we cant afford to be throwing points away like that.
-
As much as I’m disappointed, the way we played for an hour was incredible. Im not going to moan too much as it’s still better than what we’ve watched for years.
-
If only we had a goalie with wards footwork and ox shot stopping.
