As did the Scotsman

Our colours are claret and amber. Not claret, amber and white. In the fifties and sixties shorts were either black or white. Now we can have claret or amber shorts.

A great night in Motherwell's recent history A great 3 days in Motherwell's recent history The Marvin Johnson goal assisted by Cammy Bell at Fir Park must be the loudest cheer I have ever heard at Fir Park. It really felt like the closest thing to winning a cup that day . A poor poor season finished off in style

The good thing is that we're unlikely to go with any of the names that have been touted. The record posted a list of dundee candidates, which included someone that a P&B poster threw out there for a laugh, so I'd ignore anything the papers say.
-
The manager that is being touted that really frightens me is Maloney
- Today
-
That's a decent draw and we should be looking to progress without any major hiccups....
-
Who cares if he's any good or fits what we're looking for, his postcode is nearby. If that's the attitude we take I'll be after a refund on my season ticket.
-
Cos it looks hideous, like guys that wear white socks with black trousers. The colours don't go with white.
-
His finest moment as our Chief. He genuinely fought our corner and stood our ground where many of his predecessors would have folded and given Rangers whatever allocation they wanted.
-
Aye but if his house is in Edinburgh that a very big improvement over the last guy
-
If we're using the same data metrics to appoint a manger as we did with Wimmer Neilson won't be anywhere near it.
-
On one hand, it should have been easy as we had reasonable form coming into the game and we were playing the team that finished in 3rd place, 24 points behind Hearts. On other hand, it was us, at Ibrox...
-
Very much my feelings. I just could not believe what I was watching. I still find it hard to believe how comfortable it was in the end. The Ainsworth goal is a thing of beauty and Baraclough is forgiven everything in my eyes for giving us that fantastic double header result.
-
Despite hammering them in the first game, I could barely watch the second leg. Even after Marvin's precision finish I was pacing around and turning the TV off and on. I think I chilled out after the 6th went in.
-
Likewise and me underestimating the pre-match traffic didn’t help me either. No game has got the juices flowing quite the same since but the sound of Ainsworth’s strike hitting the net will live with me forever. As well as Baraclough, Burrows also played a blinder. He set the tone by standing firm on the ticket allocation.
-
Definitely were in the right mindset. Las in the tunnel before game at FP was totally focused whilst Lee McCulloch was checking his hair

On 31st May. (But available now on BBC iplayer) 🤣🤣

A bottle of bucky settled me down... ...what an evening that was at Ibrox, and as someone else above said 'how were we in that position' with players like Johnson, Ainsworth, Pearson, McManus and McDonald. When do we see 'episode 2'?

410 games at a 50% win percentage. There's a bunch of championship seasons in there, but also taking hearts to 3rd a couple of times and winning a cup. Other championship managers have been touted on here, so I don't see why that should be a blocker. Put his exact experience and stats on a foreign manager, and we'd be hailing it as a great appointment. Any experienced manager is going to split opinion, because you don't go 10 years in management without ups and downs. Like I said, I don't want him because I've never really liked him, maybe that's because I don't like hearts. But the argument that he isn't good enough is silly. Most of us want an exciting manager from outside of Scotland because it's something new, and there's the chance we find a diamond in the rough. Bringing in someone with considerable experience makes that less likely, so it's boring.
-
What stats, winning games in the league below, neilson gets binned every club he's been at,I'm not saying there's going to be a queue of quality candidates to pick from but there really isn't any excuse to be settling for someone like robbie neilson.
-
" shit manager" ? Stats don't back that up . Like I say , I'd rather we were a bit more imaginative but if it's yo be Scottish, wouldn't be worst.
-
Yep, I'd like us to go for the high press, high intensity stuff...what's that Michael Wimmer character up to these days? Just saying Neilson is one of better Scottish managers I've seen quoted.
-
I was watching the first leg on the telly and at half time the commentators sole topic of discussion was what would happen when The R*****s came out and got an early second half goal. The Ainsworth goal put paid to the 'when Rangers get back to the top flight' chat, at least until papers needed sold up until the 2nd leg. They went back to 'an early goal for Rangers and Motherwell will crumble' chat.
-
I know it’s been said many times but I’ll say it again. Having an ‘outsider’ in charge like Baraclough who didn’t pander to Rangers and allow us to play the name rather than the team in front of us was a major reason why we won that playoff. His predecessor and opposite number in those games would have had us beaten before the team bus left Fir Park and the fact that it was McCall in their dugout made that all the more satisfying given the number of big games we had bottled under his watch.
-
If another manager was available who had 3 years in the championship with Neilson's record, we'd be all over it, jeez, some people want Imrie. I don't really like Neilson, mainly because of how he comes across, but he's a good manager.
