  1. Past hour
  2. So be it. The rumour has spread to Italy though as I read it on an Italian rumours page. Time will tell.
  3. Scott Burns reporting this is all news to Lennon Miller and Motherwell.....
  4. Might not work out of course but the rumour in Italy is that the fee is £5m and that Lewis Ferguson highly recommended LM to Bologna. Talks are ongoing re the transfer of a winger called Ndoye from Bologna to Nottingham Forest for around £35m. The player involved wants to go to England and has agreed terms, but Napoli are also after him although offering less than Forest. Talk is that Bologna are using the two clubs interest to push up the price. Should be resolved soon, maybe even by tomorrow. Great move for LM and Motherwell if it comes off.
  5. Today
  6. It looks like bologna are about to sell a player for £35million,you would have to think if they really want miller then it might only be a matter of time now.
  7. It hadn't and I doubt it was applied at all afterwards either.
  8. Hopefully this works. This is what I’ve seen over the last few days, all seems to be speculation nothing concrete - unless we’re doing a Delboy and selling him multiple times
  9. Oh, I remember that as if it was yesterday. Stuart Rennie and the 4 step rule. I never saw it applied until that night. Another day when the ref had it in for us.
  10. It started when Airdrie papped us out in Scottish Cup semi replay in 1975 and I got hooked on painful glory hunting defeats.
  11. That's true. There are a number of "transient" fans who might come along when we are playing well, or in late stages of cups, that aren't interested in the weekly grind during a bad spell. Those are the ones that need to be persuaded to attend more often. If we could add another 500 to the gate every week, even that relatively small amount would generate a decent amount of additional revenue across a season.
  12. They choose Zimbabwe over Motherwell? , who'd have thought ...🤣
  13. 90% of them are from Zimbabwe 😄
  14. But there wasnt 6000 like you in those 10,000 crowds. Fans will come out for a big game for every team then disappear like snow off a dyke. No one is criticising fans who are hundreds or even thousands of miles away but most in those 10,000 crowds will probably live withing 20 miles of Fir Park. On a slightly different note you look at social media like twitter (or X if you prefer) Motherwell have 63,000 followers, St Mirren have 43,000 followers, Kilmarnock have 56,000, Falkirk have 36,000 followers and every one of them will leave us standing in next years average attendance stakes. I know they wont all be Motherwell fans but there is obviously a connection there, we have many who are obviously interested in the club but have no desire to come to Fir Park. Our stagnant attendances whether we are good bad or indifferent is frustrating , even more so for the Well society I suspect.
  15. TBF, that's in part because many are like me and live too far away to attend most games. When we were gubbed in the CIS Cup final, I made a 6000 mile round trip for that glory.
  16. We do though , we can get 10,000 for Cup semis and finals, we couldn't get 10,00 of our own fans in Fir Park for a league game if we paid them.
  17. Ha, if we have any gloryhunters in our support their in for a big fukin disappointment 😞
  18. All teams have Gloryhunters, all teams have troublemakers. The number each team has is probably pretty close in percentages. As the OF have thousands more they will have more of each category but percentage wise proportionate to their support.
  19. JBA mentioned in one of his interviews that defending the long ball is something we are training for, but need to improve.
  20. Sign will be up by the official opening. Well society posted on Facebook to confirm this
  21. That is a genuine issue , the boot and rush merchants will get behind our current defence we need improvements in that area. Something Im sure the manager is working on.
  22. For what its worth i know quite a few Rangers fans who ditched their season tickets when they went down to D3. I also know a few who stuck with their team through it all
  23. The curtent talk is that Bologna are looking to offload first, before committing. Udinese and Como apparently looking at him also.
  24. Seems to have been very successful on Friday evening, with the club's income being boosted consideably. Thats just what we need to increase off the field turnover. A few teething problems though, which the Society will will take up with the club.

    Mrs Baillies

All the details were on the Society's web page (although it wouldn't hurt to have a sign) https://thewellsociety.uk/2025/07/24/grab-a-friday-night-brew-in-the-new-well-society-fan-zone-before-hertha/
  27. Correct, Its in what was/is the memorial garden and Its the disabled fans entrance at the very end of the POD stand you use to access it but no signs up yet . I'm assuming that's something the Well Society will address as it confused a lot of people on Friday.
