Think I agree. Long way to go in the league. Getting in the semi should bring in some extra money also.
-
Cup We can make up the points in the league
-
Personally I would take a win tomorrow and profession to the League Cup Semi Finals rather than three points in the league next Saturday. I appreciate that others will think differently but for me getting to the latter stages of one of the Cups trumps a solitary win in a league match.
-
Right if we were only able to win one , what do you want? tomorrow or next Saturday in the league.
- Today
-
Edit: I see the league game at Fir Park next week is on Paramount+ but couldn’t see mention of this game
-
Anyone know if it’s on TV in the states? I get the MFC stream but just easier to watch it if it’s on TV.
-
Good goal that from Mandron. I always thought he looked like he had zero ball control when he was with us, but that was decent.
-
Will the Cooper bar be open tomorrow and showing the game?

The post here was upvoted because it contents resonated, rather than eager to slate you (inevitably you default to the negative), I would hope most, like me, would have hoped for some introspection and a change in behaviour because often threads are taken off on a tangent, often any fun sapped out. Alas, as sure as the sun will rise in the East tomorrow, a well worn and predictable cycle returns. The moderators must have shared the same eyebrow raise when you used my name here considering it is what was cited as "bang out of order" and set you off a year ago. The mock outrage at the time is now shown to be disingenuous and lacking any hint of self awareness not to recognise the hypocrisy of you now doing so. But that was never what it was about eh? This was only ever done to be provocative because that's the soup you swim in. How many of your nine lives have you used up on here? Fair play to the moderators, they have patience well in excess of mine for all the extra work you bring them in what is unpaid and often a thankless task. I don't know if you followed through on your threat to contact the club CEO, or it was felt the not so cryptic posts on social media were enough. The problem is you take things into the real world to denigrate and negatively influence others, the very thing you cite as being a victim of, you also employ with gusto. You were asked without any ambiguity to cease engaging, slandering or invoking me and here we are again. You really can't help yourself. Strike Two.

Thanks for letting us know. Could have a bit of confusion if you hadnt, could have been mistaken you was attempting humour god forbid.

I wonder how many years it will be before Robbo's St Mirren team will have "earned the right to play football".
-
A potential borefest on the cards 😂 Wouldn't be surprised if that game goes to extra time or penalties If we win tomorrow I would gladly take the winners of this game
-
St mirren player injured due to his own player pushing our player into his team mate. Robbo is just angry wee man these days. I didnt mind him at motherwell, not good to watch but got us some success. Has been angry ever since his night oot in Edinburgh 🤪
-
aye they tried to kick us off the park that game then robinson came out after it and lied that our fans were cheering and laughing when it looked like a st mirren player got a bad injury,I can't stand that wee cretin,it's just a pity that either him or kettlewell will be in the next round.
-
Yup, agreeing with chris Sutton is something I try to avoid but he was correct. We all remember 2-2 draw last season where GBH was their tactics
-
That’ll be a truly eye bleeding event. There is no doubt Chris Sutton is a bellend and says stuff for effect but his StMirren comments were 100% accurate.
-
I hope you are right. Got a stag weekend in Glasgow this weekend , me and one of my mates have been given a 2 hour pass to watch the game hopefully I won't have my face up my arse for the rest of the weekend. 🤞🤞🤞😂
-
Our recent great play has to bear its rewards at some point so hopefully we get a repeat of the 1st 62 mins of the Hearts game, but not the ending and we book ourselves another day out at Hampden. I'm going for a win for the Mighty Well a semi final at Hampden and edging Thelin closer to the exit door at Pittodrie. ( no alcohol was consumed in making this post).

Battle of ex well managers tonight in cup as killie take on St Mirren Should be a classic as both managers connoisseurs of wonderful attractive football. Yep......that is sarcasm from moi
-
I'd quite happily take our chances in a penalty shoot out if offered now. I just have a horrible feeling that because Aberdeen cannae score in a barrel of fannies they might get two or god forbid three against us.
-
After hearing JBA’s pre-match presser, I’ve got a feeling it’ll be a tactical deadlock and end 0-0 after 90 mins. I imagine Aberdeen fans will be thinking the same given their start to the season.
-
We’ve shown two things so far this season. Number one is that we are capable of playing some good, inventive flowing football during games….and number two, sadly, is that we are incapable of actually winning a football match. So yes a draw in 90 minutes tomorrow is most likely. I’d say our best chance would be if we could get it to penalties and we hold our nerve there but given our dismal record in penalty shootouts, particularly against top flight clubs - I can’t remember us ever beating a top flight side in a penalty shootout* - then I wouldn’t fancy our chances in a shootout. *In a Cup tie, obviously
-
With all this week’s penalty practice, I guess another draw is pretty much nailed on.
-
Yeah that debacle and any Cup tie we faced them in under Stuart McCall immediately spring to mind when playing Aberdeen. Particularly when we had their number in league matches at that time yet kept losing knockout Cup ties to them at home, it was incredibly frustrating but very ‘Motherwell’ and especially ‘Motherwell under Stuart McCall’.
