  1. Past hour
  2. Club v country bollocks If players (including Miller) didn't fancy playing for their country it would be a very simple process to ensure it didn't happen. As a percentage, very few players decline call-ups, and there is a reason for that
  3. His career 100% should be defined by his play with whatever club side he plays with, as should be and dare I say IS the case with every footballer. International football is a farce and it’s on the decline due to governing bodies throwing ridiculous money about to host tournaments. Then you consider the ridiculous grandparent rule which allows players to pick and choose their nationality based on which one is more likely to get them capped. Angus Gunn being case in point there, he realised he wasn’t going to get picked for England so ‘decided to be Scottish’. I get that it’s an honour for players to represent their country, but club football is far more important and Lennon Miller will have a good career providing he stays injury free and keeps doing the business at club level.
  4. Again like all posts on here it’s personal opinion and you are 100% right to say your thoughts, mine isn’t utter bollocks, just my opinion, the boys future career ain’t going to be defined by Scotland, it’ll be defined by his play with whatever club side he is with, personally talking he should just concentrate on playing every week in Italy and see where that takes him.
  5. Today
  6. It’s far too early to start judging or criticising Pocognoli, but if Miller continues to get no minutes in favour of Backpass Barry Jnr, then I think both we and Miller would be right to start questioning his involvement.
  7. What a load of utter bollocks. You either want to play for Scotland or you dont. Lennon clearly does. So he will keep attending until he gets his chance.
  8. Yesterday
  9. Yet again Lennon passed over for a cap in a completely rank average Scotland squad against 3rd rate opposition, he really should question his attendance in these squads n just focus on his club future.
  10. Nothing else is working with these brainless wonders, you have to hit them hard to encourage sensible behaviour, take them on head on and stop the stupidity that costs the club its reputation and cash.
  11. The carrot was telling them how great they all are and it would be nice if they didn't do it again.
  12. For my take on this avoidable scenario costing the club £100k would be the identified arsehole who ran on the pitch and crashed the advertising hoarding details are known, the club instruct solicitors to take a private civil prosecution against the individual and recover costs or have the arsewipe declared bankrupt destroying his financial future and a life time ban from Fir Park, the rest of the bampots when identified with the squibs or running on the pitch should also have civil prosecutions taken against them for the inevitable £5k SFA Christmas party bar bill fine that’ll be added to the contribution from the east end biscuit tin. Shoot one rabbit to scare the rest in my opinion. But then again that’s all it is..opinion.
  13. International breaks have got a lot to answer for.
  14. I never heard about this, whats the craic? Too much else going on that night.
  15. Need to get back to the matches and your predictions mjc, i am agreeing with you too much .
  16. The carrot should be they behave, don’t set off flares and don’t jump on the park then they are more than welcome to attend matches. The stick being if they don’t behave, set off flares and invade the park then they will be identified and banned from Fir Park.
  17. Last week
  18. Nah probably no cards but they all seem to turn up at matches wearing the same clothes every week, some with matching balaclavas that might indicate some organisation or it might just be coincidence.
  19. Id be amazed if they have anything that defines them as members of whatever group
  20. First of all, if talking gets the job done, fair enough, .mission accomplished, although its a bit late. The above is what confuses me too, block e and the bois are 2 different groups? Do they have membership cards and strict rules? To me they are mostly young guys who stand in a certain bit and bang a drum. The ones who cost us money are members of " the fuds"...so thats now at least 3 groups there. As I have said before, its all very " peoples front of Judea".
  21. SOD also brings the experience we have been sorely missing in a few recent games when we needed a leader on the pitch that can help refocus the younger players and help them stick to the plan.
  22. SOD is so slow these days he's not viable as anything other than a hold-the-line type defender. If your tactics are to sit deep and play with 4 or 5 across the 18 yard line, fine, but I don't think that's how I'd be approaching this match. I think SOD's role these days is to come on late in the match to shore us up defensively. As an out ball, not so much, especially against Celtic who play with pacy wingers.
  23. Just something I noticed about the Old Firm, and hopefully I don't put a curse on us by mentioning it, but between them Rangers and Celtic have spent close to £80,000,000 on transfer fees this summer alone and yet despite this 12 out of the 14 league matches they have played this season have have had 1 or less goals between them and their opponent. That's an incredible amount of money to drop in Scottish football to basically drop points or scrap past teams with a tiny fraction of their spending power.
  24. My take on it is the club like to portray us as this wee cuddly, family friendly inclusive community and anything that affects that is quietly dealt with in house. In other words we don't like washing our dirty linen in public which is probably a good thing in terms of projecting a positive public image. However when things start to cost us money and threaten our reputation as that nice wee fan owned club then I think we need to adopt a tougher approach. I really hope common sense prevails and the planned meetings resolve the issues but if that doesn't work the club really has to get tough and spell out the consequences whatever they might be with an iron fist in a velvet glove if need be.
  25. Thats been part of my point for a while...the club may be happy to pay the whole thing lip service, and it seems that way.
  26. Its all very well having a healthy debate on the subject, its good to get everyomes viewpoint and opinions but the stark reallity is that the club and the WS are doing feck all despite having ample time to come up with a solution, a bit like the POD seating shambles The nice social media statements asking fans to stop havent worked, the next round of cosy chats with those perceived to be involved may make a difference, but if they dont whats the clubs and the WS's next move?
