  1. Past hour
  2. The club has submitted an appeal against the £5,000 fine and quite rightly so.
  3. Yes, I think questions would be justified if that scenario comes to pass.
  4. Well, that's fucked it. I actually think MJC performs a valuable service here with his predictions of doom. It lifts the fans moods, hoping to see him proven wrong. If he starts predicting draws (especially away to Hibs) , it gives me the fear 😁
  5. A couple of signings before we head out for Helsinki wont help our progress, but they would put a spring in the step of our supporters. Its all about vibes at the start of the season. We need to keep the feelgood factor going as long as possible!
  6. Today
  7. We will need to be clinical and take any chances we have in front of goal. Not fluffing four out of five chances. A win is the target but draw would be acceptable.
  8. If we sell Longelo on top of those that have already gone and the liklihood JT is out the door, then Kyrk is gonna have some questions to answer re his comments on " squad management". It would be like a fire sale, just with loads more money involved!
  9. Yup thats the worry pal, could easily see someone coming in with a bid
  10. Id be quite impressed if thats what he was doing, but it isnt/wasnt. Of course the options in front of him have to be good as well, and I dont think our rotations are where they were last season (yet) but Paulsens body shape / positioning whilst receiving the ball isnt doing it for me right now. Like I said though, early days.
  11. Learning when to launch it long when there is no obvious pass to beat a high press is a good thing, if Ward had done it at parkhead last season we would have had another 3 points, and if Connelly had done it at Aberdeen, we would not have been dumped out of the Scottish cup.
  12. Well, this topic has slid well down the list 🙁 I was hoping to see some signing news today but all quiet so far. The sooner we can get our desired players in the better, with a busy fixture list ahead of us.
  13. The keeper has played 2 competitive games, one on dodgy AstroTurf. None of his passes were as bad as our players passing inch perfect through balls to the HB strikers. But as I said before. For some reason, if you are a Fadinger or Priestman, your poor passes are judged much less harshly than if you are a keeper.
  14. Good point. Certainly looks like we are in sell now where we can mode despite earlier Board assurances to the contrary. And given our left back stock it would not surprise me in the slightest if Longelo goes in this window.
  15. Is he that good with his feet though? I know thats why we went out and got him, but there were points last week and again last night where he looked less than comfortable and launched it long. On one occasion he booted it out the park under no pressure at all. I will reserve judgment on him as we are only 2 games in and he has a brand new defence in front of him, but Im yet to be convinced by him. More than happy to be proved wrong though!
  16. They could be if Longelo is around long enough…
  17. While a win would be great , a draw would be completly acceptable taking into consideration the travelling for last night, and with another game on Thursday 2-2 this could be me thinks
  18. You may be right but I remember just being sub for a few at start of season
  19. I Think the one in the second half possibly had a bit to do with the pitch and an uncertain bounce of the ball.
  20. Hibs Hibs Hibs as Alfred said last night 🤪🤪. This will be a difficult game but hopefully longelo fit to start and maybe see Lowry off the bench at least. I would keep Maswanhise on bench and give him half an hour. COYW
  21. They definitely have a hard role. Can make a dozen great saves in a game but one howler and that hets remembered. I am sure Paulsen will be fine, still settling in
  22. He is really good with the ball at his feet, I know that’s why we got him but he is “super” confident doing it….. which does scare me a little as goalies all think they are better players than they are. I’ve not seen anything so far to make me worry too much though, apart from his height. keeper’s are always liable to have a nightmare, even the world class ones. I think he seems to have settled well so touch wood he continues to improve
  23. I'm pretty sure most fans think their keeper is the only keeper that makes mistakes. They never think that about outfield players, but for some reason keepers need to be perfect.
