Because thats what agents are paid for to have "if" for all sorts of scenarios in contracts. Agents arent daft.

Do we really think when we signed these players both them and the club seriously thought there would be possible multi million pound bids for them. I would think probably the oppisite, that's why CLUB has an option for another year on their contracts. All these players came from relative obscurity and smaller teams why would they even think of a triggering bid to leave when signing up .
-
Usually, but not always, at the behest of the buying club.
-
Its not always just down to the club. Players agents have all sorts of clauses in their contracts that forces the clubs hand. Look at Shankland.
-
Trouble is, once a player is aware of how much more money they can make by moving on, how do we keep them?
-
Priestman is our replacement for Watt, i assume? So, while I’d rather have kept Watt he is probably one of the easier replaceable players.
-
We should be in no rush to sell. Our finances are healthy. The directors promised us we wouldn't sell our best assets at the same time.
-
One of our best league seasons was when Albion Rovers put us out the cup. I certainly won't be writing off next season if we perform poorly against HB.
-
Suppose all you like. That poster is incessant and deserves calling out. There is no engagement with some as the takes get ever wilder. If folks don’t realise how the club focus in operation after the year past, they never will.
-
I doubt he'd like that.
-
Ok, got to give you it. That was a good one! 👏👏👏
-
I was kinda expecting around £2.5 for Watt , doesn't seem wee are in that ball park area. Mind you no one knows the trigger points and clauses in players contracts.
-
For how long ?

Was up picking my tickets up for the forthcoming coming midweek games…..popped into the club shop where they were setting up for tomorrow’s home kit release ………imho the new kit is outstanding without all the stupid sponsors on it ❤️

So Watt won't play in the European game then as there's been concrete bids for him. We need another 2 in before that game v HB as we're very light on numbers heading into that game by the looks of things
-
Scot Burns mentioned it in the rancid.
-
It’s the Turkish side. Close on £2m I heard. It’s from someone who is usually reliable but you never know. I don’t see anything online about it.
-
It will be another undisclosed. Unless someone's tweeting notarized copies of the contract, the numbers will be speculation to a greater or lesser degree.
-
Do you know the club he’s going to, Samsunspor, Rangers or another?
-
Girdwood Reich seems to be the kind of signing we should be aiming for. As for Watt, I think we should hold out for more than £1.5m.
-
Watt away I heard, deal agreed?
-
And if he doesn't have a good first 45 mins you will no doubt be telling him to GTF ASAP........ LOL

I can accept your point re another early Euro exit and i agree that its effect on the team, fans and the clubs standing in Europe etc would not be good, However i cant see it as a disaster, when we could potentially go on and win a trophy, get another top 6 finish etc. For me it would be a setback, dissapointing, a blip on the progress we made under JBA last year, maybe even embarassing if it was a really bad result, but its how you respond to events like that that defines you so if we do make a James Hunt of it against Havnar then judge its impact next May as its where you are at the end of the season that matters, not the start.
