  2. Nobody is getting uptight we are discussing a valid topic that has annoyed people for years. It should be an individual choice whether you want to be an unpaid advertiser for some random company or product. As has been mentioned in previous posts possibly charging a premium for the logo free shirts might be an option, then its an individuals choice to buy it or not. I'm sure the club could sell logo free kit directly outwith any shirt sponsohip deals, we've done it before with the white tops a few seasons ago, nothing is impossible.
  3. Today
  4. Well saying it's the close season if folks are getting uptight about sponsor logo on the shirt...the clue is in the name, " replica shirt" , it's supposed to look like players top.
  5. Sorry but a sponsor is a sponsor and considering we need every penny we can get sponsor free shirt from the off is a non starter we were paid handsomely by a bookmaker for that luxury last time. However I do think an extra fiver say for a sponsor free shirt should be an option that the club should look in too maybe.
  6. At a time when we are looking for more ideas to generate income, intentionally removing a chunk of our revenue stream doesn't seem like good business. I'd also be curious to know how many fans in the shirt buying population want a sponsorless option because I'd imagine that, kids being kids, most of them want a kit that looks exactly like the one the players are wearing' sponsor and all. I'm not against it, but I'd need to see a breakdown of the financials before I was in favour of it. One thing is for sure, and that's you won't make the up the gap in revenue by upping their price.
  7. We are a fan owned club allegedly its maybe time that the WS got involved in a real topic of interest to the supporters and see what can be done re selling sponsor free replica kit.

  9. I must be in the minority of the people that like the experimental approach towards Motherwell's kits. If the fans are forking out money every year for a strip i'd rather it looked a bit different to the previous season and you never know, it might be considered an iconic kit in 50 years time... I do agree with having a sponsorless option too. It seems like a lot of clubs offer this option, but obviously not of our stature.
  10. Grizzly is doing ma heid in That's not a fleetwood mac quote, just general consensus 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  12. Is that a serious question , if so I might not give the answer that you want me to
  13. You have a better memory than me. can’t remember las scoring many at either end 😀
  14. Celtic have been wearing hoops on their home shirts since as far back as 1904. While the shade of green might shift slightly from time to time, or there may be a faint pattern woven into the hoops, the core design remains instantly recognisable around the world. Newcastle have stuck with black and white stripes since 1894. The width of the stripes has varied, and the trim has seen changes over the years, but the overall look has stayed the same. Now compare that to us. Is the message here that our home kit doesn’t really have an identity of its own beyond the colour palette? From a branding perspective, the approach we take is baffling. We’ve got a distinctive colour combination, yet we’ve never settled on a consistent design to anchor it. There’s nothing wrong with tweaking the details (a different collar, a shift in trim, even the size or placement of a central band), but let’s not kid ourselves. Clubs like Celtic and Newcastle have a look that’s unmistakably theirs. We don’t.
  15. You not a fan of Fleetwood Mac jokes? Oh Well 🤪
  16. Or just a link in……the chain
  17. The yoked shirts which we wore between 1913-1924 were copied from Bradford City. Then from 1924-1928 Bradford changed to vertical claret and amber stripes and we also adopted these. Later in 1928 we introduced the claret band across the chest for the first time. It ‘disappeared’ for the first time in the 1970 season and its appearance has been sporadic ever since.
  18. It's just lies......sweet little lies

  24. Just think he's a bit of pace down the right wing back role and he's had a bit of time to develop and I thought he was okay when he featured for us previously. Not saying he's the best in the world but surely we could maybe coach him up let him do a job for us and sell on for some profit down the line.
