  1. Past hour
  2. This is going to be a tough game. Hibees are a good side so we need to be on top of our game
  3. Today
  4. I am more confident of getting a result against Hearts now than I was before today's game Traditionally when a club outwith both Glasgow teams are top of the league like a Hearts or Aberdeen, they usually have a great run followed by a really poor run A positive result against Hibs of course first is what is required
  5. I have a feeling this will be a really good game. I’ll be going along to this looking for a win and I’d love to beat Hearts on Saturday as well seeing as their wheels are now coming off the bogey as expected. They were rank rotten today against Aberdeen and they played like a traditional McInnes side.
  6. Agree McGinn had a solid game again. However, he got caught stepping up too late again for offside call at the Killie goal. That’s the second time this season, same issue. He has to step up early before the ball is played. However, it was also a terrific ball that McGinn played Stama in for the penalty
  7. Nicholson, Stuparevic, Robinson, McGhee?
  8. Hibs have a very good record at Fir Park, it could go either way, Hibs are capable of being absolute pish or pretty decent.
  9. He did. But he generally gives it away in the opposition half after he has dragged us up the park. If we can coach the final ball into his game he could be some player. He is 23 though, so not sure how much more development is in there when really its decisikn making that is the problem.
  10. Its mental that we sell a generational talent for £4.5m and end up with a better midfield than we had before. I would have loved to have seen how Miller might have thrived in this team, but alas, thats not the way the world works. I expect Slattery may well be the next one to be sold and there will undoubtedly be suitors for Watt and Fadinger. Just need to enjoy them while we can (no pun intended).
  11. Has to be Maswanhise for the 2 first half goals. Mention for Fadinger who was good as usual and Ward who had a good save at 0-0 and dealt well with crosses. Shocked to see Said getting some votes here, thought he terrible and gave the ball away constantly.
  12. It's good to see some variation in the set pieces that don't just involve long ball to the back post, short ball to the front post.
  13. I think the biggest testament to our current midfield is we never hear anyone say we miss Lennon Miller. (Of course he'd still be an asset in this team). The midfield we have assembled, with balance that Fadinger, Just, Slattery and Watt bring makes it one of the best I have see for years. And with options like Said we even have a little depth for the first time.
  14. Looking forward to this one. Will just be nice to have a home game, and on grass too. A draw wouldn't surprise me, but if we be a little more clinical we might edge a win.
  15. Can see this one being a draw. 1-1
  16. Same for me, he does so much of the unglamorous stuff that often goes under the radar but lays the foundations for others.
  17. How many of our current long term crocks did SK sign? Three?
  18. I'm not sure what injuries killie had,I don't follow them closely enough...we have some too, had a lot more when sk was in charge We did that without just, sod and about 3 or 4 long term injuries, so don't think we got lucky at all.
  19. Much has been made about Killie's injury list and how it impacted on their game yesterday. By my count, they had 5 players out with one returning to the bench. On the other hand, we had 8 players out. Ok, not all of ours would have been starters but... A common theme emerging about Kettlewell's training methods? Incidentally, I noticed a picture of Ap Stam taking the penalty. Just behind him there's a clear image of Said's jersey being pulled, presumably to prevent him from running in to follow up had the ball not gone in. In that scenario would a retake have been ordered via VAR or otherwise?
  20. Kettlewell is getting his jotters for Christmas.
  21. “We have been spooked”…….was his after match comment
  22. Yesterday
  23. I kind of get what youre saying, but he set up the first goal and was instrumental in the second. I also think its going to be hard to live up to the way he played in his first few games, as teams are more aware of him. It's on him to figure that out and adjust. I guess he was subbed for fitness reasons, as he wasn't playong bad enough that replacing him with a right back on a yellow card is the best option. Fadinger is such a solid player, he put in a great shift today, especially defensively.
  24. Him with the painted hair (Boyle) is always a danger.
