I'm preparing for the game tonight as best I can with a tea of pickled herring, just to get in the mood.

With games like this, we just need to hope we have enough at this early stage to get us across the line. We're always going to be up against it playing such an important tie this early, but it is what it is. We know how it works. Hopefully we have the quality to overcome what will absolutely be a gulf in match fitness and sharpness.
-
Tonight should be seen as being a big game for us and not simply as being a bonus or Euro jolly as it has been in the past. We should be trying to move on as a club. Its a rare chance to raise the club's profile; bring in extra cash through prize money and gates; and sustain the momentum from last season with the support. Its a chance to move up a level and we should treat it as such.
-
I'm sure a decent percentage of that goes to his former club, but still a very good fee for a player regardless.
-
Not that we would have disclosed it either.

Plus add ons! 馃槈

Undisclosed at Swansea's request apparently, but it is being reported at around 拢6.3 - 拢6.5m.

That's Eli fully confirmed as gone, great bit of business. I'm looking forward to the Just v Turnbull local derby!

No one is not siding with McInnes because he is now Rangers manager. Well, Im certainly not. I think players and managers should be able to give their opinion on decisions after the game. In fact most are contractually obliged to. The issue here, for me anyway, is punishment. McInnes has got a more lenient punishment despite going in stronger on the decision than Watt did. I think both punishments are ridiculous. But they should at least reflect the alleged offence committed.

In terms of fit first team players are we saying: Paulsen Connelly Sparrow Moorman Girdwood-Reich Williams Wilson Priestman Fadinger Whyte Ross Said Vogt With injuries to: Mcginn Odonnell Longelo JK Mcghee Cook Eythor Stama Hendry The more I look at that the more concerned I get about tonight! 馃槥

Apparently Paulsen started life as an outfield player..... -
He could probably do a job at right back, to be fair.
-
Interestingly, Rangers are appealing McInnes' ban. I'd be interested to see how that goes.
-
It feels like we鈥檙e at the stage where it wouldn鈥檛 even be a surprise if Matty took his gloves off and played outfield.

Again, I don鈥檛 see anything in Del鈥檚 comments that were anything different to what any of our fans or indeed anyone outwith Celtic were saying at the time. It was disgusting and there is not a snowballs chance in hell VAR and Beaton give that decision to us up the other end in the final seconds of injury time. That award took away a massive advantage that Hearts would have had going into the final game of the season and handed it directly to Celtic who ended up profiting from it when they won the league. As Hearts boss at the time and hearing of that incident and in the heat of the moment it was perfectly understandable that McInnes was angry, indeed he had every right to be. And that鈥檚 before you take into account O鈥橬eill鈥檚 wee phone chat with Collum about refereeing at the start of May. Had it been us in Hearts position on the penultimate game of the season and Jens had said exactly what McInnes said then would anyone on here or in our support have a problem with it? Would they hell as like! I get people don鈥檛 want to be seen siding with the now Rangers manager, but it鈥檚 important not to lose sight of the real issue here. That Celtic were handed the league by a disgraceful decision given against us by an incompetent VAR and a referee who is too scared to give anything against Celtic due to previous grief he鈥檚 had from them and their supporters. And yet despite that and the fact that their supporters invaded our park in their hundreds and the game ended with them all on the park on the Wednesday night and they then did the same in their thousands on the Saturday they completely escape punishment for it? Indeed the only ones punished were the ones who called it out including one of our players.
-
My guess is that we'll see one or two of these players featuring tonight at some stage.

Motherwell vs Havnar B贸ltfelag (23/7) Discussion

I was hoping Manny, Eythor, JT & Cookie might all be fit for the second leg. Maybe even Johnny K. -
More players will need to be players back from injury which I'm not sure is likely. To be eligible to play in the second leg, a player needed to be registered by last night..
-
Putting the lack of striking power aside for now, as that鈥檚 arguably been our hardest position to fill for a while, I agree entirely with your point about the midfield. I鈥檇 go as far as saying it鈥檚 a complete failure not to have had someone lined up and already in the building to replace at least one of those players. And don鈥檛 tell me that鈥檚 Willy Vogt. He鈥檚 more likely a Maswanhise replacement, but he looks pretty poor regardless.

I looked this up yesterday because Im kinda sad and wonder about these things, but Hanvar is Faroese for Port or Harbour. Boltfelag means football club. So HB Torshaven are actually Port Torshaven FC. Your welcome! 馃槏馃槏馃槏 -

Same here. We actually have no idea what level Hanvar are at. But we also dont really know what level we are at either. I guess part of the excitement of live sports is the finding out! Hoping Alfred and our young boys can surprise us! -
Looking forward to tonight, with a big crowd behind us. I'm apprehensive but optimistic at the same time. My concern is lack of firepower up front but, we'll see. I had hoped to see another midfielder added before tonight as we certainly had enough warning of the likelihood of Slattery, Watt and Just leaving, but thats life.
-
God, have we ever won a game where the Bois have done a march to the stadium? You鈥檙e absolutely allowed to criticise them, I鈥檓 not a fan of them myself. I think you can guarantee that there will be flares aplenty tonight because that group clearly care more about their own image than the club itself.
