If you read my other posts, you will see that I agree. Id rather have neither. My argument was specifically in relation to Neilson v Brown.

Not saying I want him....just 2 and 2 making 5

Given Morecambe finished 24th from 24 and lost their League status, I imagine the new position is leaning on the counter at the job centre.

The new kit? It's okay given the way the club has messed about with it over the years. At least there are no white shorts. I don't like the pin stripes and I HATE the fact the chest band only goes half way round. But at least it doesn't look like a Galatasaray training top like last year's effort. For me, the best strips in my lifetime were the 1994-96 top, the 2010-11 top and the 2023-24 top. Primarily because the chest band went all the way round but the relative, traditional simplicity of them also helped. The chest band only the front only looks half-assed and janky, too much "frippery" takes away from what is a strong traditional look and white shorts just look daft. White shorts were never "traditional". They were just the only colour available back in the day unless you used black. In the 30s there was a rule the home team HAD to wear white shorts, while the away team HAD to wear black. The advent of coloured shorts was a godsend for clubs like Motherwell with more original colours. When I grew up in the 70s, I didn't know Motherwell had a unique, traditional strip of their own. I wondered why our strip continually changed while others maintained their own unique look. I was thrilled to discover we had the amber top with claret chest band as a distinctive traditional strip. It should be one of the most distinctive, attractive and recognisable tops in football. Instead it is mucked about with and turned into some of the most hideous crimes against football fashion ever committed. Harrumph!

On Twitter or X whatever it's called. Derek Adams has left Morecambe as has new position lined up???

One rumour I did hear recently is our chairman has been in Albania speaking to a potential candidate No idea if it is true or not but if so maybe explains the silence about the next guy

If we're looking for adventure, I'd rather we looked overseas. The idea of having Brown, who will be under the media spotlight as a "former Celtic man" throughout his tenure with us isn't really the kind of adventure I want. He'll never be "Scott Brown, Motherwell manager," he'll always be "Scott Brown, former Celtic player and scourge of Rangers." If we're looking at hiring a Scottish manager, I'd choose Neilson over Brown.
-
I take your point. But where's the adventure in that?
-
Speedy recovery for Ian Baraclough hopefully Wishing the guy all the best

You might have got a like on that if you'd said 'everybody's talkin at him'.....but at least i got your attempt 🙂

Fuck me thats grim! 😆😆😆

Personality is all well and good, but I’d take a manager who knows how to get results any day. Neilson might not light up a press conference, but he’s shown he can win games in Scotland. A win rate of 51 percent across more than 400 matches as a manager. He guided Hearts to the Championship title twice, once in a league that included both Hibs and Rangers, and again in a season with Dundee in the mix. He also led Dundee United to the title. He’s taken a team to a Scottish Cup final and secured a third-place finish as well. If we’re judging Scottish managers purely on achievements and consistency, I’d say he’s well ahead of Brown at this stage.

Ok. I get it. You dont like Scott Brown.

Dam you beat me to it
-
Don’t worry about it - everybody’s talkin’

I didn't think there was any more mileage in this one...you've come good again

Do you not mind browns " no comment " interview after the players ousted john Collins...that was cringe as...don't think his answers would be very entertaining if we are using that as one of the yardstick. Pity john Collins isn't interested in management game any more, he had hibs going great until players didn't fancy the graft.....allegedly

Jose Mourinho has been spotted at upper crust........... In all seriousness see who we get if we get a foreigner who's gonna come in and try play football I'd be happy. No more of kettleball or the likes.
