I see the superiority complex and cryptic style of some continue to be boundless.
-
VAR ruining the matchday experience for longterm season ticket holders is likely a main reason.
-
We may be a fan-owned club, but that doesn't change my post. There's information that simply can't be divulged to the public, even if that public includes Well Society members. There are processes in place for a reason. I would think that the interview with Kyrk was planned for such a time as more details had been ironed out with Ahmet, and most likely not because he was reading SO during his lunch break today and decided to get an impromptu video recorded!
-
To be fair though Wimmer only left on Friday. He couldn't really have given the update sooner particularly if the club was closed yesterday for the bank holiday. I do agree that supporters should be kept in the loop but that's not a bad timescale for putting out the facts in my view. Particularly as they couldn't say anything until Wimmer left
-
Pretty sure O'Donnell had a contract clause where there was an option that was triggered and also sure Halliday signed on again before Wimmer made the decision to go.

if anyone bases their purchase of a season ticket on who the manager will be they need to take a good look at themselves . There are many good reason why people might not buy a Season Ticket Cost, Family Commitments, Work Commitments al perfectly acceptable but who the manager is ? nah no having it.
-
O’Donnell invoked his further years clause allegedly
-
Really good interview, gives me faith we are in good hands.
-
Perhaps some can stop the knicker wetting and invest in pampers now.
-
Good idea extending the early bird season ticket pricing so fans can see who the new gaffer will be.
-
Yes, it was. It answered many, if not all, of our questions. It seems we're looking for much the same qualites in a manager as we did before which is encourging. The issue of family ties was discussed with MW as part of due diligence, but clearly that changed and there wasn't much we could do about that. Comforting to know that the club is ticking over nicely before the window opens on 12 June and pre season preparations are being made. That will ease a few concerns.
-
Some overlap with the managerial thread. Not sure I wholly agree David. We're a fan owned club and should be kept informed of what is going on. Again I'm not advocating a blow by blow account of everything thats unfolding;thats clearly unreasonable. However its not unreasonable to be told if anyone is in charge, even temporarily, of the playing side. The club clearly reads this forum as Kyrk MacMillan's recently released interview answers most if not all of our questions. Having listened to it, I'm now pretty much up to date with what is going on. He's given us the necessary information in an open way, whilst still being professional. Thats all many of us asked.
-
Yeah quite impressed by it (media dept obviously looks in here🤔). Would love him to stay but have a feeling that he'll join Wimmer back in Germany at some point.
-
Really good Interview from the chairman. Don't think there is much more we could have done. Ahmet happy to stay so see what happens there
-
I think that myself more so after watching the latest video from our Chairman.

Club has extended early bird deal to 20 June, nice touch

The last I heard, both Ahmet and Wimmer left Scotland on the Monday after our final match, likely heading off on holiday or spending time with their families. It’s possible the club simply haven’t had the opportunity to speak with him in detail yet. Or perhaps those conversations are just getting underway and nothing has been finalised. The club aren’t obliged to share anything publicly at this stage. I’m sure once there’s a clear decision between the club and the individual, we’ll all be informed.

They are usually split into: Leaving after contract expired Leaving after contract terminated Staying because they are under contract Leaving, but offered a new deal Transfer agreed. Under the current circumstances, it's possible one or more of those categories has not been fully decided or communicated, so they could be waiting until all that business is done before announcing them all.
-
Enlighten me wtf is sensitive about the club confirming that a current club employee is still employed at the club?
-
I would think its more likely that the club have asked Ahmet to stay on until a replacement is found. He and Wimmer have been inseperable for some time. I would imagine he will be off to join him again in due course. Shame. Cause he seemed a really likeable guy and a good foil for the manager.
-
Exactly this.
-
Maybe still negotiating a salary and transfer kitty etc ??
-
Me neither. But I guess its a way around getting the player to sign a 1 year deal if they are looking for more security. I wouldnt imagine for a minute the club or SK would have thought that SOD was likely to hit the 30 game mark or whatever it was, with all the options open to us at RB/RCB, but the number of injuries we picked up ultimately meant he had to play. I think we all agree that McGinn is the better player and more reliable performer of the 2, but his injury record raises more concerns for me at offering him a new deal after SODs was activated. In an ideal world Id keep McGinn and move SODs on. But thats not how it has played out.

It’s worth remembering that football clubs, like any organisation, need to deal with sensitive matters in a professional way. There’s a difference between being open and overstepping the mark. Revealing why someone stepped down, how long it was known internally, or the status of an assistant manager before anything has been confirmed isn’t just unwise, it’s genuinely unprofessional. It risks damaging relationships and can make it harder to bring in the right people further down the line. Supporters have every right to expect honesty. But they also deserve a club that handles its business with care and integrity, even when not everything can be shared straight away.
