I didnt think we could win both games, and we might not still. But I was greatly enthused with how we were able to control the game second half today despite Aberdeen throwing the kitchen sink at us and us not having that strong a bench. Hopefully we will have McGinn and Hendry back next week. Just would be a bonus. We need a league win and now have the muscle memory to know it can be done.

Some really good performances today. Welsh was very good, as was Longelo. Stama put in a power of work again but really needs to get the monkey of his back and convert a chance or two. RCC had a really good game and would have been easy to give it to him for rhis goal alone. However, went for Watt. Another absolutely outsranding performance from him, all the more impressive because he makes sit look so effortless. Henis my surprise package of the season as he came in with pretty much zero expectation.

Thought we started slowly today. Probably the poorest Ive seen us this season. However, we were solid defensively and grew into the game. Despite it being a fairly even first half, I felt we had the best of the chances and shoulda gone in at the break in the lead. JT was unlucky to hit the woodwork and Stama had a very good effort cleared of the line. Said and Fadinger should have both done better with their chances. Second half we were in control of the game, scored a great goal and shoulda put the game to bed. Stama has 2 very good chances and shoulda done better with the header in particular. Really pleased to get the win and a pretty good performance considering our injuries. We now have another big game to look forward to and some more cash in the bank. The JBA train is still coming down the tracks!

True. We will have a go and don't have a player like Tavares. Would take st Midden Patrick thistle or h**s. Celtic beatable too 👍

RCC for his goal but also for his overall effort, I may (did) have a go at the TV when he missed his first half chance but as a forward player he's dangerous and IMO offers more than most of our forward thinking players. He's doesn't fall apart in the box which bodes well for the future. When I look through our team with players like Walsh, Watt, Fadinger, Maswanhise we have real quality and that's before we start adding back Just, Slattery, Sparrow and Priestman. Must be the best quality we've had in a long time. With a bit of luck on our side could be a cup winning team.

All i would say dude it's a bit like saying we got a clean sheet so ward must have been good....which wasn't convincing, a ropey pass in first half and a terrible punch 2nd half which nearly cost us. But, it's great we all have different views and keep it healthy. I love this forum

Correct i didn't see the game, but as we won 1 - 0 and Stamatelopoulos was not named as the scorer i probably guessed correctly that he huffed and puffed but contributed feck all as usual. How many games can we keep saying its OK he nearly scored, or he is looking good better, before we realise that the fundamental issue is that he is not that good and not up to the standard required for the premiership.

Football is football, regardless of language or country. You’d think from some comments that every player at Motherwell is Scottish. My earlier point was aimed at what I see as managerial bollocks, not at the fact a player has moved from one country to another.

I think stama is doing well but I do acknowledge that goals is what we need from him. I also don't see who else could play that role just now. I trust JBA. COYW
