  1. Past hour
  2. Our recent great play has to bear its rewards at some point so hopefully we get a repeat of the 1st 62 mins of the Hearts game, but not the ending and we book ourselves another day out at Hampden. I'm going for a win for the Mighty Well a semi final at Hampden and edging Thelin closer to the exit door at Pittodrie. ( no alcohol was consumed in making this post).
  3. Today
  4. Battle of ex well managers tonight in cup as killie take on St Mirren Should be a classic as both managers connoisseurs of wonderful attractive football. Yep......that is sarcasm from moi
  5. I'd quite happily take our chances in a penalty shoot out if offered now. I just have a horrible feeling that because Aberdeen cannae score in a barrel of fannies they might get two or god forbid three against us.
  6. After hearing JBA’s pre-match presser, I’ve got a feeling it’ll be a tactical deadlock and end 0-0 after 90 mins. I imagine Aberdeen fans will be thinking the same given their start to the season.
  7. We’ve shown two things so far this season. Number one is that we are capable of playing some good, inventive flowing football during games….and number two, sadly, is that we are incapable of actually winning a football match. So yes a draw in 90 minutes tomorrow is most likely. I’d say our best chance would be if we could get it to penalties and we hold our nerve there but given our dismal record in penalty shootouts, particularly against top flight clubs - I can’t remember us ever beating a top flight side in a penalty shootout* - then I wouldn’t fancy our chances in a shootout. *In a Cup tie, obviously
  8. With all this week’s penalty practice, I guess another draw is pretty much nailed on.
  9. Yeah that debacle and any Cup tie we faced them in under Stuart McCall immediately spring to mind when playing Aberdeen. Particularly when we had their number in league matches at that time yet kept losing knockout Cup ties to them at home, it was incredibly frustrating but very ‘Motherwell’ and especially ‘Motherwell under Stuart McCall’.
  10. I have to say on this one I share your likely outcome. The very fact Aberdeen haven't scored a goal in 5 league games gives me the fear. I still bear the scars when Aberdeen came to Fir Park having lost their opening 7 games of the season had scored one goal and beat us 6-5. Probably the only highlight of the Aberdeen fans season where they finished in the play off spot.
  11. I put this lady on block a year ago because I was fed up with the constant victimhood when things don't go her way. She chips away at people opinions like picking a sore and if the discussion gets to the stage where someone is giving as good as they get, and she has no answer, the tears and snotters and victim card are played with relentless monotony. So far easier for me to put on block , she could do likewise to people she doesn't like or agree with or as has been suggested, if abusive, report. But no we get the full on drama and flouncing away , no doubt to return in a couple of weeks . I would also respectfully suggest if you cannot handle other people opinions and some rather robust opinions a football fan forum is not the place to be. Anyone may call me anything they like , I might not like it , I might not agree with it but I'll forever defend your right to say it.
  12. I just can’t see JBA’s Winless Wonders breaking the duck at Pittodrie in a knockout cup tie. If we are going to win either of the Aberdeen double header then it will be next week at Fir Park. Nice to see the light blue ‘Craig kit will be getting an airing tomorrow though.
  13. Yesterday
  14. Hope we can get this back to football. Some people are more sensitive than others. Some people more hurtful too. I got background in mental health work and well girl welcome to contact me if need be. We are all well fans, we got suicide prevention all over our stadium. Football is only a game. Let's all get optimistic to beat Aberdeen on Saturday.👍
  15. This post unfairly singles me out. Since our last proper interaction on 30 March 2024, when you sent unsolicited private messages that I ignored, I haven’t engaged with you in any meaningful way. Referencing me here now is misleading and inaccurate. It’s also concerning that you keep dragging me into posts without reason. Frankly, I'm pissed off that your nonsense post has forced me to directly engage with you again. For the record, on 30 March 2024, here and here, we had a bit of a public back-and-forth, after which you sent two private messages. I ignored them and have deliberately avoided debating you since. Your forum behaviour follows a clear pattern. Personal experiences and private matters are brought into football discussions as a defence whenever someone disagrees with you and then the unsolicited private messages start. Stop involving me or making false accusations in future posts.
  16. Modern manager jargon don't worry about it! It's just the phases they go through....it's all about momentum.
  17. I was in 'Nam too, in '97 and another tour in '99. Harrowing.
  18. I saw that but I have no idea what it means? I’m not up on modern jargon. In my day if someone said I “had too much of a load on me” it’d mean I was a fat bas6ard. im guessing this isn’t what the manager means
  19. The good news is that it's only about 3 weeks until the international break. The bad news is, etc...
  20. I think you under estimate your power 😂😂
  21. Nah you don't fall into the obnoxious or the victim card players.....we'll no yet anyway, cos I've got them all blocked 😆
  22. Aw feck. That's me just been blocked by 50 folk!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  23. and no mention of Stuparevic and Robinson. Wonder when they are due back. Surely not next year as well.
  24. So in summary short term: Hendry and McGinn (back for league action?) med term: Slattery and Sparrow ( back after Celtic game? ) long term: Sule, McGhee and Nicholson ( wait and see)
  25. Yeah, the club posted an update. Said Slattery and Sparrow will prob be missing until international break. Hendry is touch and go - Too much of a load on him apparently. McGhee requires surgery and is KOd until next year
  26. McGhee has picked up another injury that requires surgery and won't be back until next year.
