  4. Colins?. Yup great transformation and full credit to board for finding wimmer and then Askou who has been unbelievable. Just loving this season
  5. This time last year Kettlewell was still manager and we were about to get pumped out of the Scottish Cup by a poor St Johnstone team. Who would have thought, back then, we would be getting treated to the best football most of us have ever seen at Fir Park and with a squad whose value is currently well in excess of the Miller Millions. Just goes to show you what a twist of fate and some bold decision making can do for a club like ours. Its quite frankly laughable that the old board didnt think that fan ownership was a going concern and we needed the outside investment of someone with absolutely no experience if running a football club. Penny for the thoughts of all the Colins' now?
  6. We were actually talking about this on Saturday. No Motherwell team has ever been as prepared for / suited to European football as this one. I know the chances of Jens still being here next season are slim, and Im not suggesting Europa League, but I think we would make a better fist of the Conference League than Aberdeen made this season. It would be nice if we could just fend of suitors for a little while and let us and the team enjoy the success of their endeavours (should we not fuck it up between now and then). Nice to dream......
  7. Hopefully at least another season to lift a euro trophy 😀
  8. For the avoidance of doubt, you would then get the tram 🤣
  9. Got sent it by a Celtic supporter too......
  10. As frank Carson used to say 🤣🤣
  11. Thats some walk from saughton tram stop to Easter Rd, its handy for Tynecastle though.
  12. Chuffed for the badge kisser, awww I can't face anyone as sellik lost a game ( try supporting well for 48 years ya tit) Anyway let's all relax now
  13. Jealous as feck as that is brilliant 👏
  14. Crisis over!!! Luke McCowan has exorcised the demons!!!!
  15. Happy days then. Hopefully means Jens stays at Motherwell to the end of the season.
  16. That's even less surprising than Kettlewell to Ross County.
  17. Martin O’Neill back at Celtic. Confirmed. Dry your knickers out.
  18. O'Neil confirmed to end of season at The Tattiedome. If JBA is getting poached in Jan, it won't be by them.
  19. The chances of Celtic going for any other SPL manager at any point in time are remote - Tony Mowbray is the only one I can think of and that was after 100+ successful games with Hibs, add to that 4+ years of being a Celtic player. Aberdeen would be the more likely club to want JBA but even at that I think they'll want someone with a more proven record. I do think JBA is likely to leave at the end of the season, there's plenty of English clubs who'll take notice and given his professional record of not sticking anywhere too long I do think he'll move on, but for now we get to enjoy what he and the club have created.
  20. I hope they give it to O'Neill. If we can keep Jens to the summer we could end up in Europe and potentially win the cup. It's also difficult to recruit a manager mid season even in the position we're in at the moment. My other concern with Celtic needing a new manager is that Welsh could now get recalled.
  21. I get what you say and agree crisis would suggest a serious and dangerous situation and perhaps too strong a word for a sporting event. Perhaps complete disarray would be more appropriate. Celtic is not a united club. There appears to be many issues on and off the park. They are now onto their fourth manager of the season. Given the money that has went into Celtic over recent years, there decline in standards are due to gross mismanagement. Their board have shown no ambitions over than just beating Rangers. Would an ambitious manager be happy with just that?
  22. The problem Celtic have is that their fans will still want them to win the league and they cant afford another manager to come in and not hit the ground running. They need a sure thing now. I reckon they will give Martin O'Neill the gig until the end of the season and review the situation then.
  23. The actual reality is that Celtic are six points adrift in a League they usually win at a canter, having deservedly lost to the League leaders home and away. They have lost 6 League matches this half season which is one less than they lost in the previous two full League seasons combined. They failed to turn up for a Cup Final and were outplayed by a team that currently sits third bottom in the League. On the evidence of their visit to Fir Park, several players look disinterested and the others look bewildered at the tactics they are being asked to follow. They lost to us for the first time in a decade. Following a defeat to their detested rivals they are now managerless and the person responsible for recruitment has also been sacked (Those departures although welcomed cause further uncertainty). And those rivals who a few weeks ago were dead and buried are now equal on points with Celtic. So for a Club like Celtic that is most certainly a crisis. That does not mean they don't have the resources and desire to turn things round. They could well do so. The Media hysteria is a result of that crisis but not the cause of it. The cause is their performance on the pitch combined with a Board that is disconnected with the views of the majority of their fans. And long may it continue.
