He took and scored with one of the best penalties I've ever seen, at the Home of Good Football. Lashed it into the top corner with venom - no keeper would have saved it. Not my favourite player though.

Odense. Europa League. Murphy penalty miss late on as we lost 0-1 and 1-3 on aggregate. Odense finished with nine men but needing only a 1-0 win to go through on away goals we conceded fairly early on and despite lots of pressure we just could not score. Felt very much like a chance missed.

Damn just read he missed a penalty v Celtic that lost us a semi final. I just remember him hitting a shot so hard in the tennent sixes that no one could tell if it went in or not.

While not the worst I've seen, Turnbull's miss against Dundee contributed to what must be some kind of record of the shortest time between two teams missing penalties during a match.

The joint worst ever penalty I've ever seen was Jim Hamilton against Aberdeen (I think, it was down at the South Stand end, maybe it was someone else) and a Hugo Sanchez one for Real Madrid were it would have hit the corner flag if the corner flag was 80 feet in the air.

Think he gave a few away as well. That's when defenders were real men. 🤬
