  2. Seems like a pro mo video to show how much we value him, basically saying you better be willing to pay top dollar for him to anybody wanting him.
  3. I was more thinking about the growing fanbase for the English Premiership.
  4. Steven Saunders becomes Albion Rovers manager.
  5. In answer to your question I played professional table tennis (recently retired) I had family in Rome so moved here as at that time was easier to get around continental Europe and to travel to SE Asia than being based in Scotland. All of your points are very valid. Udine is a beautiful city but can be very cold and wet in the Winter. Very different than being in Bologna for example. Next year is a big season for him - probably a make or break season in terms of pushing on at Udinese.
  6. Correct, its always winter in Scotland, i think summer is a Saturday this year.
  7. Given that's Ranger or Celtic on telly every week, I doubt that would change if those games were televised in June or July.
  8. Social media team needs to pass the time while we don't have any new signings or new manager to report. Seems like a decent idea to choose him.
  9. When we live in the UK, and Scotland in particular, and insist on playing football through the winter, a lot of people are always going to prefer sitting in their warm house with a beer watching the game.
  10. God, he's good. Does the club know something we'd don't know yet?
  11. Ultimately, its TV football fans, including many Scots, who are helping to pay these inflated wages.
  12. The averages in the Championship are heavily skewed by the newly relegated teams on EPL wages. Still some great wages to be had though with the right team, but lots of players in the "lesser" teams earn closer to 5 or 6 grand a week.
  13. Unfortunately, it's the Sky effect of obscene amounts of money thrown at the English game bolstered by huge revenue from its relentless advertising of gambling firms on TV. Even the trickle down from the English Premiership to the Championship puts us completely in the shade. In any case, I wouldn't think the likes of Doncaster would be capable of negotiating a deal which would be to the general advantage of Scottish clubs (i.e. beyond simply the OF) .
  14. No one up here can get close to the wages teams in the championship pay, I guarantee he’ll be at least doubling his wages going from Celtic to there. I saw a list of players in that league and I think the average is around £15/20k pw and that’s the average. I’m sure Turnbull was £25k before Cardiff were relegated. crazy to think 30years ago it would be a step down from SPL wages to go to a lower league English side.
  15. Welsh away to swansea by the looks of it.

  17. Will try my best but can't promise anything. Ps. Seeing as Swansea are signing Stephen Welsh....does that mean Toulouse will sign Hamish French? 🤪🤪
  18. Is that the standard we can expect for the season coming, 😱 we are a European team now, you need to up your game
  19. Likewise Allan. Especially so given that the directors knew about JBA's intention to leave weeks ago. However, sometimes paperwork and bureaucracy can draw matters out.
  20. The club manage to keep information in-house these days as opposed to the Burrows-era where everyone in Lanarkshire knew what the gossip at the club was. Appointing a new manager, specifically a new manager who fits the club, isnt always straightforward
  21. Going off the same timescale as appointing both Wimmer and Jens we're looking at the end of this week for an announcement. I think on both occasions securing a work permit took over a week so there's a chance we already have our guy we're just waiting on the paperwork being official.
  22. We're pretty much on the same timeline as the last 2 appointments, and there's still plenty of time before pre-season. In theory, we could have started early because we knew JBA was leaving, but i believe it was similar with Wimmer.
  23. I thought it would be done by now tbh given the club will knew they’d have to replace . Leads to me suspecting we’ve not secured our primary preferred candidate(s) got to think something will happen this week . meanwhile credit to the club for keeping it tight , they manage that side of things well .
  24. Didn't realise he had a new hairstyle! 🤪🤪
  25. Jens wasn't appointed til 12th June last year and he had a major rebuild on his hands. I'd rather we took our time and got it right..
