So by that theory every game you don't win you deserve to lose? don't agree. Dundee didn't deserve to win today.
-
Yes. Because you can go through your whole life and see your team winning nothing of note. St Mirren supporters will remember winning the cup for the whole of their life. Just like those who saw us winning in 1991.

Silverware is permanent , form and league status are transient.

I read it as they deserved. to win because they came into the game with a plan and left with three points. So well played Dundee. It was up to us to break them down and we just couldn’t do it today. Another day we might have.
-
They scored twice, had the ball in the net but fortunately for us it was offside. They also rattled the underside of the bar. So obviously they deserved the win.
-
Even if they get relegated?
-
Spot on. Football is about winning things. We like all the teams outside of the bigot brothers have only two cups we can win. So would I swap our season for St Mirren. You better believe I would.
-
We were a bit off it today but fort the life of me I cant believe folk saying Dundee deserved to win. They had two efforts on goal and scored with both. One being an absolute gift. By any measure of all statistics today we didnt deserve to lose even as below par as we were.
-
Do you remember Wullie Pettigrew, or Bobby Graham, or Tommy Coyne, or Brian Martin etc?
-
Absolutely gutted at a defeat. Still much to play for though in the league. Much prefer to be in top 6 than bottom 6

Well said sir 👍

No-one knows for sure, but I'm assuming JBA will be offski and has probably already been sounded out by clubs higher up the food chain than us. However I trust the directors have a very good idea of the kind of manager that now suits us and will source another in the same vein. We are a selling club and it may well be that some or all of Just, Manwhanise, Said and Watt move on for healthy fees. Welsh will also be moving on. Those fees will greatly help the club financially long term. As we sourced Manwhanise, Just, Watt etc we can source equally good replacements, but the difference this time will be that we'll know were our weaknesses lie. We're a good footballing side but management will know that we lack bottle, hardness and ruthlessness and that will be addressed.

Good post Grizzly. We have a helluva fight on our hands to hold onto 4th place. Lets get behind the team. By next weekend Hibs will likely be just 4 pts below us. Then 2 huge games against them and Falkirk. The 2 easiest games of our run in. We've come a long way in 1 year. But we're very much work in progress as Dundee pointed out today. If that result can bring a few of us back to reality then its been a good day.
-
I think we have all got carried away thinking we could actually win the league. Our aim is to make sure we finish 4th. 2nd defeat in 20 games . Rewind 13 months and we were at end of Kettlewell reign. Shows you how far we have progressed since then.

Busted flush. Nearly men are never remembered. Need to add RB and quality CB next year

4 defeats in the league all season, the first in nearly 3 months and all of a sudden the players are full of themselves or we need X, Y and Z. Sometimes it'll just be an off day or luck won't quite be in your favour. If people can't just accept that without the character assassinations in this season of all seasons then I honestly don't know how you manage to go about your daily life.

Dundee got their tactics spot on …..leaving both wings open and encouraging us to try and play through the middle……we never took advantage of this and unfortunately lost a soft goal…….the second half was better when we did have bit of width and failed to take our chances and lost the second trying to win the game We need to start having a shot instead of trying to score the perfect goal / walking the ball in the net Some of the pish spouted at the final whistle and on here is beyond belief ….we lost our FOURTH league game of the season FFS !!!
-
See you next season, enjoy your extended break. What an absurd take on things.

This is the most sensible post that’s been posted on here today and it resonates completely. This season has been very good for us and we have played some brilliant football throughout which have helped bring about some great results. But ultimately it’s yet another very good Motherwell side who will have nothing to show for it come the end of the season. And this year it feels even more of a missed opportunity given that we had the team to achieve something while both Old Firm teams have had their worst seasons in decades at the same time. We will be waiting a long, long time before that happens again. And before anyone asks the question “ahh but would you swap our season of great football for St.Mirren’s season, however that ends up for them in the league”? then yes, you better believe I would because they won silverware and have tangible success to point to from this season while we, yet again, have none.

I'm being realistic. We have won nothing. Yes playing good football but who realistically thinks jba will be there next season? Had some good nights especially at Mirren but Mwell always selling club old firm will improve next season. I wish we do keep manager and players but without proper money behind us it's not realistic.
-
No its not, it will be in 9 games then its prize time, and we can all start planning the European tour, with the club counting the mllions in prize money. There is still a lot to play for, we may not win the title, but we will have a big say in who does, hopefully at the expense of both ugly sisters.

Bet your having a happy Saturday night, away and wring yer pants oot.

Shat it, again. Season over.

Just checked bbc stats,21 shots 9 on target, some of the shooting was woeful tbf . Dundee had 2 shots on target...like I say good luck to them...plenty had written Pressley off before season.
