Didn't know that. Think chapman was poor and Jordan archer and also Kelly. Gunner Nelson was poor too.
-
The story from the dressing room at the time was that the team were basically still playing Tomtom's way until Christmas, then McLeish put together the game plan and tactics for united away, we lost 6-1 and the wheels came off.
-
6 feet 2, and no matter what age you are he was far from the worst goalie we have had,
-
I hope they win too. It will stretch their squad and if we play them after midweek group games they may be jaded. Increase co efficient too. Can't believe cads is under 30. Feels like he should be 40.
-
Cadds makes it 3-2 partisan but hibs now ahead on aggregate, I am sorry but I cheer on the Scottish teams in Europe ( apart from old firm)
-
Hoooo keep up....I said that hours ago 🤣🤣🤣🤣, but glad I wasn't imagining it
-
Tough crowd 😜😜

Twelve league goals isn't a bad return, I grant you. But four were against us and generally everyone agrees we were shite last season... I don't think anyone is quibbling that he's better than what we have. But all summer I've read people on here saying we should go for him "take the money for Stamatelopolous and go and get Ronan Hale". People are talking as if he’s the only striker out there.. I don't believe he's worth what County will want for him...
-
Except he didn’t play with Murray…
- Today
-
Hale and Murray never played together at County. He was a stand out for County in a poor team and tore us apart at Fir Park. Can't believe some are turning their nose up at someone who scored 18 times last season. Obviously we won't pay what County want anyway.

The Best worst Motherwell Manager ever
twistandshout1983 replied to SteelmaninOZ's topic in Club Chat
I remember the day Jim Gannon got the job the Scottish news went to Motherwell Town Centre and spoke to a few people Do you know who Jim Gannon is ? Sure one person said does he work for the council 🤣🤣🤣 -
Very true. If I'm right he played in European games too. A total imposter of a keeper. Under 6 ft too.
-
I'm curious to see what kind of striker JBA brings in. Maybe none of the names were are throwing about suit what he wants - or maybe they all do. Who knows?
-
Were you there for an audition for the comedian's, easy to see why you failed the audition.😆
-
I'll never forgive woods for that pass straight to Durie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus he was utterly shambolic as a keeper!!!!!!!!
-
I agree with that with one change and you won't be surprised that I pick rab mckinnon at left back ahead of the scumbag . He will be the only one out of that team that won't be in the hall of fame.
-
Totally different times with different valuations. Think of what some of the above players would have been worth in todays market and Miller's valuation wouldn't seem so much.
-
It’s curious that our most valuable player ever doesn’t appear on anyone’s dream team—unless I’ve missed it. Perhaps it takes time before fans fully appreciate players like that in this context.
-
For me there is only one dream team, in my time supporting Motherwell Maxwell, Nijholt, Boyd, Griffin, Paterson, McCart, Arnott, Angus, Ferguson, O'Donnell and Cooper. With the super sub himself Stevie Kirk on the bench. I give you the 91 cup final team.
-
Hale’s streets ahead of what we’ve got, and the stats prove it, but the time to go for him was back when he was at Cliftonville.
-
We did indeed spend the money elsewhere last season Dave, on Stamatelopoulos and for me we are still waiting for a return on the investment. Given our current striking options Hale would definitely be an upgrade, granted not a huge one but an upgrade none the less.
-
He is better than what we've got, of that there is no doubt............at least in my head 🤪
-
Hale is not the type of signing we have tended to make in recent years. Ross County are wanting an inflated fee for him but will be panicking that he runs his contract down. Our money is better spent elsewhere.
-
And Andy Dornan was nowhere near among the worst right backs we've had over the years.
