It does achieve something, it confirms the view that fans have had for years, ie the SFA in its current form is not fit for purpose, using shit technology to justify shit refereeing decisions, with no comeback or censure, while pandering to the ugly sisters at the expense of every other club in the country.
-
I see that the Herald is touting JBA for the Celtic vacancy, which as yet doesn't exist. Thats it now on the banned list. They wouldn't do that if a Scots manager was in post at Parkhead; highly unlikely one would be of course.

Happy new year everyone! Hoping we start off with a convincing victory against StMirren amd go on another run of clean sheets and victories.
-
of course they will but the reference was to 7000 home supporters which wont happen on Saturday.
-
home support on Tuesday was 6635. The away stand holds 4800, there are Motherwell fans in hospitality too.
-
I've been racking my brains for days trying to figure out who Nancy reminded me of. It clicked this week. Mick, from the TV series Rev

Thought I was dreaming had a nightmare 😳😳

Happy New Silverwear! 🧡❤️🧡

St Mirren fans will come to the game too....... 🤔🤔🤔
-
Wednesdays attendance was 11435, 4500 away fans, hospitality hoching with them but I’d reckon 6000+ Well fans.
-
100% correct. Robbos such a master tactician if we win on Saturday they are 18 points behind us.
-
I can't see our home support actually hitting 7000 not even this season but anything North of 6000 is still good going.
-
I don't buy into the "he done a job on us or a Robbo masterclass" St Mirren were as predictable as rain and as they've been in every game. We just didn't turn up. Had we played anything like we have in the other games we'd have taken them. Christ almighty as piss poor as we were and we were rank rotten we got right back in it from two nil down with 8 mins to go and extra time . We shot ourselves in the foot otherwise St Mirren would have been panicking with 8 mins to go and injury time.
-
I have a real bitterness towards these fuckers. I hope we pump them and would love them to be in a relegation struggle, sadly I don't think they will be. A perennial shower of pedestrian fuckers and they've won three trophies in my lifetime and not one of those teams has been better than our best teams in that period. Am I jealous ? too bloody right I am, let's stick it to them.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FOLKS

All that does is ensure better compensation doesn't stop or delay any potential departure. That's why I never get too wound up by contracts. I'm not saying we shouldn't protect the club financially though.
-
Happy New Year all Well fans Of course it just popped into my head that 2026 is 35 years since 1991 So hopefully a Scottish Cup this year with this great team we have 🏆

Yes the VAR is pointless and achieves nothing

The VAR review shite is pointless and achieves nothing

Can you imagine what the Celtic fans would be saying if, instead of Nancy, they were told their new manager had been in the game for 7 years and only claim to fame was winning the Faroe Islands Premier League once? Even with half a great season at Fir Park, that's still a risk for many clubs and there is zero guarantee all the ingredients for a similar level of success would be in place in his next destination. I know football loves a knee jerk signing, but I'd hope he at least gets one full and successful season under his belt before he moves on. Lose 3 out the next 6 and the narrative will suddenly change to "wheels come off", "was never going to work", and "be lucky to finish in the top half" Regardless - just enjoy it while it lasts. Whether it's the next game or the next half of the season.
-
I hope the Board is working behind the scenes to improve JBA's deal. They will be well aware of circling buzzards or red kites.

We (and all other football fans) are quick to call for a managers head when results take a downturn, and in the majority of cases thesedays the club boards oblige. As such, managers need to make a move when their stock is high. What I don't like is that they can just resign and rock up to another club, which seems to undermine any negotiations on a fee. It's similar with players, loyalty sounds logical, but its their career. I always think about the sliding doors moment with Trevor Carson. We block his move to celtic, then he gets injured, and he ends up on the bench for a few years, and is now at County. It's totally possible that if he had made that move hed have had 3 or 4 years of celtic wages for sitting on a bench, then move on to the likes of County with a lot more in the bank.

We all know that if it had happened at the other end and Rangers were chasing the game, VAR would have been all over it. Its the usual SFA incompetence and refusal to take responsibillity for their fuck ups.
