  2. No, thats right. Its just south of the Lofoten Islands. If I recall rightly its only second in size to Tromso in northern Norway.
  3. The JBA pre match interview on a Thursday is becoming one of my favourite things to watch, it’s like waiting for your favourite tv programmes next episode. The man is class.
  4. Hadn't any intention of continuing the dialogue but as you specifically asked for details on Aberdeen fans invading the park on SCF day last year, you can find any amount of pictures and accounts you want from all the main newspapers specifically PA . Occurs at full time and after Aberdeen's equaliser. As for the goading of Celtic fans ( albeit not of the stark nature of Rangers fans last Sunday) this was commented upon by various radio broadcasters such as RS as well as the view that the Celtic fans had ignored the incursion perhaps seeing it as simple ribaldry--- oh the contrast ! Feel free to checking it out. The fact is that it pretty well debunks your misplaced assumption that Celtic fans would have reacted . But I suspect even with this evidence you'll find some way of saying " aye but" !!
  5. Yup, don't like seeing any player injured but it isn't going to weaken us, not been impressed at all with RCC
  6. Their average home attendance is just under 7,000. They've been getting around 8,000 for European games.
  7. If I remember correctly, they are inside the Arctic circle or maybe I’m mixing them up with another team??
  8. I’m not really familiar with Bodo, are there any other teams close to them or do they have a monopoly on fans within a short distance? That would make things easier - unlike us - if they’re not competing with other clubs to attract fans.
  9. The only first team player I could have beaten in a race.
  10. I think you need to look a little more closely at what happened last year. The Well Society were absolutely marginalised by the old board, who were happy for us to be a token guesture and take our money when it suited. We had no real power until the, then Society Board addressed these governance issues and flexed their muscles a little. The reason we have 2 members on the board now and a Chairman and CEO who are in lockstep with the fan owned ethos, is because of the efforts of these indivuduals. We are now a properly fan owned club with actual representation and a say in the big decisions effecting us. Its sad that there are some still diseffected but if the Well Society hadnt acted so decisively we would now be in the hands of a charlatan and the family silver would have been pawned.
  11. Yeh, prior to 2016 they didnt have any significant history even within Norwegian football. In the last 10 years they have evolved "through a sustainable, performance-driven model that combines high-value player sales, consistent UEFA competition revenue, and strategic reinvestment rather than reliance on a single wealthy benefactor" Sound familiar?
  12. The Aberdeen goal aside, Charles-Cook's been disappointing, as was his sub appearance on Saturday.
  13. I’m assuming “bump on the nose” is actually “kicked in the face” (his fault) when he tried to rugby tackle the Dundee player.
  14. Looks like McGregor is out for Saturday. As much as he’s a bit past it he’s still important to them so I hope we can dominate the midfield. I’d like Tierney out as well as he’s been one of their better performers of late. Fadinger is fit as well which is brilliant news but the “he took a bump on his nose” comment about why he came off last week is a wee bit strange. I’m hoping it was a wee bit sorer than a bump on the nose? These Austrians sound saft 🤣 also RCC out again for a few weeks, I’m finding it hard to warm to this guy. Anyway… As much as last weeks result deflated me, I have a second wind of enthusiasm. A narrow win for the good guys.
  15. Wish Sol all the best , thought he was better with a megaphone than a football. Seen a lot more better centre halves than him
  16. I hope their Director of Football at least borrowed Burrow's phone and made the call. Otherwise he does even less than I thought.
  17. I thought he got the Aberdeen job, not the Motherwell job.
  18. Were Bodo even smaller than us? At least a similar size? So why not us too! Let’s live the dream.
  19. Don't know if it was reported at the time but Sondre Solholm Johansen has now retired due to an ACL injury now has a gig working for Adidas. Liked Sol always thought he was decent for us think he would do well in our current set up. I wish him all the best.
  20. He's going to give Dons an identity ? Aye kick the opposition off the park. They have form for doing this with opposition managers. They must have been getting really scared of possible relegation. Couldn’t care less about Aberdeen and St Midden deserve it.
  21. Pleased for Robbo. He deserves the chance to show what he can do with bigger resources. I wish him well, but not too well!
  22. If the club get things right on and off the pitch and generate enough income to be able to back the manager financially then why not, anything is possible. But there is a lot to sort out outwith improving the team, do we move or improve, new training facilities, etc etc. Standing still and showing no ambition other than avoiding relegation each season is no way to develop the club and get more fans back to Fir park, so the board have a job on their hands, but so far we seem to be moving in ghe right direction.

    Bodo/well

I'm hoping that this season is the start of a new era for Motherwell. Given the plaudits and relative success this season, and the increased attendance, we may be in a position to attract additional quality to the playing and coaching staff at the club. If so, the model where we develop talent and sell at a profit may work I'm hoping for a period of slow, sustained improvement in the quality of the squad over a number of years such that Motherwell become a regular in Europe with occasional domestic silverware. Pie in the sky pipedream right?
