  1. Past hour
  2. Tell me about it, Mrs grizzly is constantly telling me to stop telling yolks and being a total duck !!
  3. Predictive text is a bitch at times "being Greedy" 😁
  4. Is Greedy the name of the striker we are scouting? 🤣🤣 I think Moses could be good partbe4 but only if played as an out and out penalty box striker
  5. We all know where the issues are, for me keeper who commands his area, 2 centre half's, and a holding midfielder, would be the priority as a minimum. And bring greedy a decent goalscorer to play up front with the Bair, it's not much to ask really.
  6. Exactly: very rare to get the complete midfielder and almost impossible at our level unless we find and bring them on ourselves. Someone with awareness and a range of passing, a box-to-box "good engine" player and a midfield assassin are what most teams at our level would like, with perhaps some overlap. Actually, the more I see of Billy Bremner in those old YT vids, the more I admire him.
  7. Slattery's balance never great, always falling doon! Ps. Just kidding wellgirl 🤣🤣
  8. Today
  9. Considering some had us already relegated back in January I'm with you. Better than being a Saints or County fan.
  10. That's why you need Slattery beside him. It's all about the balance.
  11. I know, he was honking last Saturday when no tackles made but scored 2 goals
  12. 3 clean sheets all season is a concern. We need a big dominating centre half big time
  13. Kettlewell said as far back as the beginning of April that he was looking to try and start contract talks.
  14. 7 times in all we have gave up at least 3 goals but only beat in 3 of them Celtic you mentioned County in possibly our worst game Aberdeen at home 2-4 unfortunately only game I was at this season. Four 3-3 games QOS, County, Dundee and Aberdeen.
  15. Thanks! Being a lazy git it would be nice to have it like the MoTM im assuming we have some offers pending to some of the out of contract players? Would be nice to see some players beyond 2025.
  16. It'll be a game we can all enjoy without worrying about the result. If someone had told me that earlier in the season, I'd have taken it.
  17. First time we've conceded three goals in a league game since Celtic put three past us on February 25th, and we're eleven points clear of the playoffs. Not the best season by any stretch, but I'll take it. Next season will be interesting. Some wholesale changes look like they're on the cards.
  18. Check the first post on this topic.
  19. So who do we currently have that will be with us next season? can one of the mods pin a list of players we currently have for next season, to the top of this thread? Kinda like the man of the match thing. Maybe anyone can do it but I have no clue. Would be nice to have that very handy reference and update as we go.
  20. I think your facts here on Theo Bair's appearances/goals record prior to joining us can be a bit misleading to be fair. If you take a closer look at those appearances - he only averaged about 35mins over the 90-odd games with many coming off the bench. So if going by 'per 90-mins' - he actually averaged a goal every 4.5 games, give or take. My point being that up until this season, he has never had a proper run of games at pro level. He's been on an upward trajectory, personally I'd prefer if we managed to keep him at Fir Park and try to extend his deal on improved terms with a view to sell after next season.
  21. Spittal has that one figured out. He's not made a tackle since the start of March.
  22. He does seem to have a real blindspot judging players on their fitness. Halliday looks more like a guy you'd see smoking a snout outside a bookies than a professional footballer yet we gave him an 18 month deal. Wilkinson, Obika, Halliday and Soare were all miles off it when Kettlewell signed them.
  23. A typically street-wise St Johnstone under Levein's cynical control will find it all too easy to con the ref with their play-acting and time-wasting while I fear little will be done about their "robust" takling. If they score first these tactics will only increase and we will find it hard to turn things around. Conversely, if Slattery were playing for us on Saturday I doubt he's last the 90 minutes, given the referee we've been assigned. These end of season games worry me when the majority of the players in claret and amber on the pitch on Saturday will not be here next year and also may be concerned about picking up an injury which could affect their career at a new club. Mind you, going into a tackle without full commitment can often be dangerous. Of course, I suppose one solution is to not bother tackling at all..........😱. I'm just glad we're safe and aren't having to rely on loanees and PCAs geting us out of relegation/play-offs danger.
  24. Player who passed to Bair was off, Miller I think
  25. I think too many of them work in "day jobs" where they don't have to explain or account for their decisions, so they can't ever admit to making mistakes.
  26. You'd like to think that a top-flight manager would consider that before signing a player on a PCA without seeing them perform on their initial loan spell first, but I guess it's a bit too late for that now. Tl;dr - all evidence points to Halliday being past it at this level, yet we've signed him anyway.
