  1. i don't think Aberdeen would cough up anywhere near the amount of money we want for moult.
  2. Off the back of the last two games i would be surprised if bowman is one of the guys he's actively trying to move on, hes getting game time and he's scoring goals, as well as playing quite well. I'm actually a fan of him, although he cant time a header, he's strong and surprisingly quick for a big guy. definitely a player there, a few goals pre-season, bit of confidence and he will get 10+ this season.
  3. i seem to recall last season a few moans and groans with regards to players saying how excited they are to play the old firm and visit the stadiums, that said the interviews over in dublin seem to be more geared towards getting the season under way against rangers.
  4. does the elokobi rumour have any sort of truth in it?
  5. I would imagine it probably was semple he was referring too, he's had plenty of trials with premiership clubs, got some eye for goal....regularly pings them in top bag from 25 yards out. Anyway, very positive news getting him signed up, huge potential hopefully it shows.
  6. That list is the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen, Tammy Abraham and Lewis baker inparticular are laughable, in fairness you can understand why abraham would ditch a loan move to newcastle in favour of a stint with us.
  7. I'm sure 6 weeks is enough time to make any necessary arrangements you have to for the season starting, hardly last minute.
  8. If Burnley were genuinely interested which they won't be, slap a million pound on him, that's pennies to a premiership club.
  9. As far as i'm aware we were expected to sign an attacking midfielder today and then with rose being announced would make sense, hence the idea of signing the two.
  10. It's the same Liam Grimshaw that was on loan at us two seasons ago so you should have an idea based on that where he plays.
  11. Out of interest, why are east Kilbride being mentioned? as far as i'm aware they wont be competing in the league cup because they never won promotion.
  12. I notice it says Shea Gordon is in talks, he made an Instagram post yesterday confirming he had signed a new deal, although nothing official from the club.
  13. so you need to exchange your voucher by mid-day today to get the benefits of the promotion, doesn't give much of a chance to those who work/at school to take advantage, even less of a chance considering i don't live in motherwell and have zero chance of making it to fir park before 12pm or before the ticker office closes any other night of the week. a good promotion, but poorly planned!! the voucher itself should be enough.
  14. scott mcdonald was wearing new balance at the weekend, not sure if anyone else has been right enough.
  15. I think i'm in the minority here but i think bowman has actually being useful in the past few weeks, albeit can't time his headers but he holds on to the ball well and for a big guy is fairly quick, on another day could have had a double as well. i'd be inclined to go with the same 11 as inverness, with maybe ainsworth in contention to start.
  16. whether or not Cadden will be any good in central midfield is one question but i don't think for a second it would be too inexperienced. Campbell was different class against Inverness and the experienced Pearson was largely missing, not forgetting Cadden has probably played close to 50 games, i wouldn't say he's lacking any experience.
  17. Any cash sale gates available at ibrox? getting to fir park before hand is looking off the cards.
  18. Aberdeen have been after tansey for god knows how long, wouldn't be surprised to see him end up there. still only 28 as well, would be a steal for us
  19. Shea Gordon with another two goals from midfield last night, looks to be a right good find.
  20. it's one of those my mums sisters cat type stories, anyway......guy i work with has been told by his pal (who's brother plays for Motherwell, no idea who) Stephen Robinson has the job, hes put 150 quid on him which is probably why betting is suspended on some sites.
  21. I'm not for a second saying robinson is the answer to our problems, but he is a very well thought of coach, successful with northern ireland and respected around the club, i think his time at oldham is irrelevant, he went into a club that needed ripped apart and started all over again, signed 23 players in three and a half weeks, did they expect miracles within the 3-4 months he was there ? someone mentioned despite the league position they had conceded the least amount of goals in the league. If he can bring that to us, we certainly have the attacking options to hurt teams at the other end of the pitch.
  22. i don't get a chance to see much of the u20's but as jay has said above I would also be inclined to throw in campbell providing he's in the right frame of mind. As for shea gordon, he seems to be a bit of a player......an eye for goal too, anyone able to expand on him ?
  23. don't think Ben Heneghan has played any football at all for the u20's, certainly not for ours anyway considering he's played every week since he has been here.
  24. How much will entry be tonight for the game against celtic at airdrie ?
  25. Move mcmillan to left back, tait in at right back, mchugh and clay in the middle, jules in for mcmanus, I thought clay was excellent last week...very composed on the ball, deserves to keep his place, jules and heneghan both defended very well, positionally spot on, even more so considering it was a thrown together back 4.
