  1. And Brian McLaughlin ghosting past the opposition's midfield donkeys.
  2. Same here. The Adidas kit has always been one of my favourites, and the 3 years in the First Division were some of my favourite times following the club.
  3. Did we have 'away' kits back then? It used to be Scotland was one of the few (or only?) countries where the 'change' strip was worn by the home team.
  4. Irish football crowds have remained exactly the same since they switched to summer football - a fact that is often overlooked when they are quoted as an example.
  5. While I agree with the sentiment, I long ago reached the stage where I write-off our chances at Ibrox. Regardless of how well are playing and how badly Rangers are playing, we always manage to lose - and often without putting up a fight.
  6. Sweden, for example, only play 30 league games a season, so they would have no problem shutting down for international finals. Not so easy when you are trying to squeeze 38 games into the schedule.
  7. So pre-season would still be Jan/Feb then? And every other year when we have World Cups and Euros do we take a 4 week (or more) shutdown and extend the season? And if a team makes into Europa Cup or Champions League group stages they will need to keep playing in Dec/Jan etc. It just doesn't sound very practical to me.
  8. Last season, our season ran from July - May i.e. about 11 months. The only summer month we didn't play was June. Even with a 10 month season, we would have to play from say, March - December (or Feb - November). Which would mean a pre-season during the winter months.
  9. How many were pens? Not if they were the penalty taker. Like I said, he was a decent player, buy hugely overrated (which is the point of this particular discussion). Some posters on here make him sound like he was the 2nd coming of Tommy Coyne.
  10. He wasn't a bad player, just overrated. He is a prefect fit for ICT, but not convinced he would add anything to our style of play.
  11. I thought it was the team that accumulated the 3rd largest number of points that finished 3rd. I didn't realise you needed to win specific games too.
  12. You're wrong. Two words. Richie Foran.
  13. Have we ever won a game with an early kick-off? I'm struggling to remember any.
  14. You can create surveys for free with google docs. This site has a guide, as do many others.

It wasn't elite, you just had to sign up as an interested party. I think FSA rules would prevent an unsolicited email to anyone who hadn't formally registered an "indication of interest".
  16. Exactly. Even when you're a kid playing the game, "don't retaliate" is hammered into you.
  17. See, that's just lies. I'm into kits from around then and I don't hold it in high regard. So it's not "everyone".
  18. A wee bit surprised at that - nothing particularly special about that design,
  19. Of course she means it. Just be prepared to hear about it in every argument you have over the next 50 years or so.
  20. I expect it would take more than that.
  21. Even though there was no hoop, this is still one of my favourite kits. I'm getting all nostalgic now
  22. No, because I believe the barriers are can be converted into fold-down seats for UEFA games.
  23. Let's not overlook this paragraph: So it's not just an SPL decision.
  24. Aye, the Wales kit looked much better, as did the Coventry City home version. In fact, I liked the Wales one so much I bought the Subbuteo team with that shirt.
  25. Exactly. Sometimes you just have to take personal responsibility. If it's slippy, invest in some grippy boots and be careful. If it's too slippy for you and you're making a non-essential journey (like a football match), turn around and go home.
