  1. Top draw-er, middle draw-er or bottom draw-er. Take your pick...
  2. Considering we are usually slow out of the blocks after an international break I'm very pleased with the first half. Another goal in the next 15 mins and then some fresh legs for the last 20 mins and we will be in good shape. Simple.
  3. All part of the master plan. Sit back and enjoy.
  4. Was about to say Maswanhise looked a bit off it today. Goal.
  5. One update is the story about him being sold isn't true.
  6. As I've said a few times, I give Clarke credit for taking an absolute shambles of a national team setup and turning it around into a competitive outfit. I think the last Euros should have been the end of the line for him, though, as it felt that he had reached his coaching limit.
  7. I'm not convinced he learns from his mistakes - otherwise he wouldn't have played the way he did in our second Euros under him. Same tactics. Same embarrassing exit with a whimper as the first time. Also, the last Greece game at Hampden was a catalogue of errors.
  8. Max is a classic modern full back. Good with the ball at his feet and good going forward. Marking, tackling and closing space? Not so much.
  9. Miller only came on because McTominay had an issue with his footwear. I'm OK with Miller not playing for the national team at the moment, because he hasn't played a competitive match all season. Players who aren't getting game time with their club shouldn't be getting game time in an international. As for Clarke, I appreciate he has been able to get us to a couple of Euros, but our performances in the finals have been embarrassingly bad and I have little hope a World Cup finals would be any different. I'd rather not qualify than endure that level of performance again.
  10. Does he need a new stamp on his Upper Crust loyalty card?
  11. Turns out Biereth's better off with Slattery or Spittal in his team.
  12. Christian Eriksen is the man makes that Denmark team tick. It was a bonus he wasn't playing last night.
  13. And Dykes must be keeping the body in his freezer.
  14. Bobby Graham and Wullie Pettigrew were the first strikers I remember from when I started watching Motherwell. So I grew up thinking the way they played was normal, and all the strikers I would see at Fir Park would the the same. If only I knew...
  15. If he sat on the halfway line for 90 minutes, he'd still be better than The Rile.
  16. One of my all time favourites, and quite a coup that we were able to sign him (thanks to his links with Ian St. John). Graham, Pettigrew, Goal.
  17. I've managed to put strikers off their shot with a well placed wee shove in the back - allegedly. If I was a keeper, though, I'd be barging players out the way and elbowing any around me, because that seems to be allowed.
  18. I can only imagine the state you'd be in if we had lost any matches this season. Do you genuinely not get any pleasure out of watching players and systems evolve week by week? Or are you only interested in having a finished product immediately available that is going to win every game?
  19. There are also the Cooperation Agreements this season, aimed at players aged 16 - 21, where they can be moved at will between loan club and parent club all season. Wilson is not part of those, but a couple of other youngsters are.
  20. I don't mind paper tickets too much, but I like to be able to choose my seat where possible.
  21. Wilson's loan only runs until January - although they are often extended.
  22. Their Chief Executive has lost the plot.
  23. While not absolving the keeper of all blame, let's not ignore the fact it was the defence that gifted the first goal and the strikers that should have put us out of reach before the equaliser. I'm sure JBA is aware of all these issues, however, and will continue to address them during the break.
  24. Then SOD plays for several games. It would be great to have a replacement for every starting spot, and have each replacement to be match fit and ready to go, with a performance level equal to the players they are replacing - but that's not always possible for a club our size. it's also quite possible we had more targets that fell through, and we'll just have to make do until the next window. Based on what I saw in the early part of the season, however, SOD at left back would be better than Wilson at this stage.
