The curse of the captaincy strikes early! I don’t blame O’Donnell, just bad luck. Clearly was not intentional but his arm was out and that’s always going to be a PK.

Looking forward to the rest of the season now. We have a lot more to come from Woolery and Donnelly as well as Slattery. Wee bit of work on Woolery to sync up With his team mates and decision making. Slattery and Donnelly just need more games. I think tightening up the defense is probably top priority, part of that may also be how we transition from attack back into defense. Some shooting practice wouldn’t go amiss though. So a list of things to work on but I think we are starting from a better base than of late.

Better than I expected but disappointing after being ahead twice. Too many long balls and too open defensively but huge improvement over the league cup performances. Considering Hibs are probably one of the better teams maybe there is hope for us having a better season than last.

Carroll needs to be replaced before he gets sent off. Donnelly having quiet game. Woolery and O’Donnel need to build up an understanding. Hopefully we can get Woolery more involved. Van Veen doing well. Good work rate too. Biggest worry just now is defense which looks a bit fragile. Better start than I was expecting.

Just looked on paramount+ and our game is on there tomorrow. The little blurb about the game describes us as relegation candidates.

Showing all games or only select ones?

We are what we are regardless of what word people use to describe us. In the grand scheme of things I’d say we are a wee club. Within the SPL I would not regard us as a wee club. There’s the old firm and all the rest. We should always be aiming to at least be the best of the rest.

This is what makes us a great wee club! No problem with people using that phrase. You can read whatever you want into that phrase but no reason for a great wee club to have wee ambitions. We should definitely be aiming for top 6 finish every year. I’d go as far as saying we should be aiming for third every year. However, what you aim for and what you budget for are 2 totally different things. It’s got to be very difficult on the budget side with so little between all the non old firm teams. You could end up anywhere from 3 rd to last. But that’s what makes it such a rollercoaster ride.

I think for Hearts it will depend how they get thru the first half dozen games or so. Either give them lots of confidence or knock it out of them. For the rest of the season. Based on tinted specs and an optimistic outlook I’m going for a top six placing for super well.

Maybe we could buy Tait from St Mirren? I hear he’s a pretty decent right full back

I think both Van Veen and Woolery will prove to be good signings but look a wee bit rusty with their touch. Once they play more together I’m hoping they will develop into a very good combination for us. With Watt joining in there we could have a pretty dangerous attack. Unfortunately balanced by a pretty dangerous defense but hope that will get fixed.

When you do the same every time it becomes predictable and easier to play against. Whether that’s free kicks, corners or jake Hastie’s one move.

You could probably pick 11 off of here to bounce back big style against Annan so I won’t be counting that as much of an achievement. Although they are currently showing in second position in league 2

I’m not sure where to start so I’m just going to be quiet and wait for a few games into the league before forming any opinions.
