  1. Let’s hope we take our chances when we get them. COYW!!
  2. Let me go review my log book of incidents that I keep for questions just like this and I’ll get back to you.
  3. I think the phrase “one or two” is more than kind to the Scottish officials.
  4. I would say first order of business is to extend Penny
  5. Correct. The law doesn’t mention a backward pass but was he behind the ball at the time of the pass or did he run back from ahead of the ball to collect that pass ? basically if you are behind the ball you are onside see the section below regarding offside position any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent
  6. Good to see us be alert and take quick free kick that led to the goal.
  7. As someone mentioned earlier you don’t actually have to make contact. Intent is enough. I’m saying that there was still contact.
  8. Was this the red? I'm sure it was against spittal, where he stamped him on the way down from a jump. Ref was definitely on Goss although commentator kept saying Spittal.
  9. I think it’s vital we get another goal. If they equalize we will just crumble mentally. Certainly missing a Peter Hartley type in the team.
  10. You can see when the froze the review clearly stud raised pushing into Goss’s leg.
  11. Don’t screw this up Motherwell. Too much pussyfooting around at the back in that first half. Liable to shoot ourselves in the foot. Not saying howf it up the park all the time but several occasions where that would have been the safest option. Need players to show for early out balls.
  12. Set up nicely for embarrassing defeat now but let’s hope not. COYW
  13. Did someone actually put that forward as an excuse?
  14. It would help a lot if they had some sort of communications to allow clubs to ask questions regarding incidents and for the officials to reply. I know that could get messy but surely they could sit down for a bit and come up with some controlled system to address issues rather than just have a blanket “no response” from officials. The lack of explanation/accountability can be quite infuriating. So with VAR being new you would think they would want open dialogue to address issues/complaints/understanding of the system. Simple question, “defender clearly grabbing Lamies shirt literally almost off is back. Why was there no review or there was a review that said no foul”? Let officials or their organization respond and decide if we need to improve the VAR procedures or if cameras didn’t catch it or we saw it and decide no PK. Even just in general there needs to be a forum for dialogue between officials and clubs.
  15. We didn’t play well at all today and yet we’re still in the game. I know it’s goals and points that count but stats for the game are decent. We are not as far away from a decent team as made out to be on here. However, the run of poor results does seem to be taking its toll on the confidence of the players and certainly the fans. Stating the obvious but we have to cut out gifting the opposition goals and start taking our chances. Hammy needs to work with the players to resolve at least one of those, preferably both. Perhaps the World Cup break will do is good and give the players a chance to recover full fitness. edit: dammit! World Cup break further away than I thought
