  1. Why is this news? We knew he wasn't signing weeks ago.
  2. It would be irresponsible not to maximize the return for what we have. As it stands we have two years of Cadden left and a potential development fee of 500k+, selling him for less than that would be plain crazy, especially at this stage in his contract. Injuries and loss of form happen, but if we start panicking at this point then the whole model is bust.
  3. That's just total made up shite. Nice to see they googled the hull manager's former club.
  4. Oxford's valuation said to be around 3million, so that would be nice.
  5. That's Marvin handed in his transfer request, like he does.
  6. The difference for me is that although we're not looking much better than last season, there is some potential there and there seems to be a plan (whether it will work or not is a different question). Last year was desperate and our squad was pieced together.
  7. I'd echo that he's been great for us. He was part of one of our better teams, and has no doubt been a huge influence on our younger players. He obviously had his flaws, which is why he ended up with us, but I'm sure most would agree he was a positive part of our squad since he joined. Considering his questionable knees, he was almost ever present until late last season.
  8. As the squad currently stands I think our likely finishing position is bottom six but safe. We have some interesting options in every position, but I don't think we have the defensive options to put a run of good league results together. A lot can happen in the next 2 and a bit weeks, and I think we'll lose at least one for our better players, but here's hoping it isn't Cadden, as I think if we can keep him and add the fabled pacy striker then we have a chance to do a little better than expected. However, I dont think that signing the one defender is going to change much, as nothing I have seen so far suggests there's many clean sheets in our future.
  9. Ref had noting to do with them being 2 up from their only 2 attacks in the first half. Commentary said Carson decision was right, but the others not so much. Either way, we were shite and the ref made it worse, and maybe gave a few folk an excuse.
  10. Apparently hull have made an offer for Marvin
  11. I could see Mclean in, and wouldn't be surprised to see moult rested, but a lot depends on whether we're trying to force him through games to get his sharpness up or not. Fisher and Bowman certainly gave the manager something to think about too.
  12. Yeah, that's the plan.
  13. I tweeted flow and he gave an answer, I think it shows in the shout box? Either way, it's something they are looking at.
  14. That's what I was thinking, right now I pay nothing to the club weekly, as do most overseas fans, so this would hopefully bring us some money. However I don't know 1) how many overseas fans we have, and 2) how much it costs to do.
  15. Yep, was onside. The penalty was also right, which I'd guess would mean a red for being the last man. Funny thing with Fisher is that with that double chance he leathered the ball twice, once right at the keeper and one narrowly missing, then cadds scored with a pretty weak finish. Fisher really need's a bit of luck, and soon before he becomes a Roddie. How on earth are we going to keep cadden past the transfer window? Ben Heneghan likes to jump on people, and Dunne looks like worf.
  16. Ross county did. Was it not the same rule last year?
  17. I think having the likes of McLean, fisher, Plummer and bowman available off the bench is such an improvement over last year. Particularly since we're still a couple of signings light and Frear is injured. Great result, this is the kind of game that can really get a new team going.
  18. Maybe Tait kipre Ben dunne Cadden McHugh Bigi Rose Tanner Moult
  19. Motherwell: Carson, Tait, Heneghan, Bigirimana, Cadden, McHugh, Moult, Rose, Dunne, Kipré, Tanner Not sure how that lines up
  20. At some point st Johnstone will go the same way as the other smaller teams who have a good run of seasons, they will lose form, get a couple of injuries, lose their manager, and normal service will be resumed. They are probably due some regression.
  21. I would like this, from the highlights I can only ever see who's good. I need to see the full games to know who's shite. Unless they're Zack Jules. We already record the whole games and provide commentary, so my guess is the hosting platform would be the stumbling block.
  22. The system benefits clubs selling young Scottish players, but not Scottish clubs buying them. So instead of signing Scottish players in their early 20s to develop, we're loooking cross-border. It does look like we are putting more into developing our own, but they need to earn their place too. I'm pretty sure the manager and club would prefer to not have to sign external players, as it costs more. As said above, it is rare for more than a couple of guys to make the leap from u20 to being solid first team players, and when they do the clock starts ticking until we sell them.
  23. I said that if we changed system (i.e. to 442) we could see Plummer in cos he is a left back, but that would mean one of the 3 main defenders missing out, so maybe dunne moving over would be more likely. Im assuming we will set up more defensively away from home. These go to penalties if necessary, right?
