  1. I'd prefer it if we got a couple of million for Carson and Hartlepool's cut kept them afloat.

  2. I think it’s just about questioning these norms. Why should Celtic/Rangers have their own end at Hampden? It’s a neutral venue. Logistically it makes more sense for Motherwell fans to have the East stand as the majority of our support are coming from the south east. Although it’s not often we get to such an occasion and can understand the club not wanting to get bogged down in this debate.

  4. I don't really get the obsession with stands. It's a 10 minute walk to either end, and the stadium is more or less symmetrical anyway.

  8. Let's just go an completely body them, their defenders are all either shite, young and inexperienced or made of chocolate. Main and Bowman should just leather them.

  9. Found it: "To be honest I like centre back more than left back but throughout my whole career the majority of the time I've played left back which I enjoy as well but I like playing centre back more."

  10. Interesting attempt and guessing the ins and outs and all considered don't think you are a million miles out. Two points I'd add: The additional revenue from advertising pitch-side, in program, match/ball sponsorship, etc at Old Firm is a factor toward the £200-250k figure 'Flow mentioned a few years back. Also applies to Cup Games. When it comes to TV money, is there not a double payment when the game is on two broadcasters like Saturday? BBC and Sky had the game on so I believe that is double the usual fee? Whatever the numbers are, the point is we will be walking off at the end of the season with a balance sheet way beyond what we could have imagined at start of the season. However, the key for me is how we utilise those funds and the run of 2nd place finishes showed that we never made the most of the additional income. It's utterly refreshing to see a much more pragmatic approach to the financials at the club and the extra cash this way will be invested wisely rather than deployed on player recruitment - new scoreboard and tannoy system, money into youth development, etc which is exactly what it should be for. With the change to Europeans qualification made a few years back, we have to win to qualify for Europa League next year which could make the cup run even more rewarding financially.

  11. Agreed, it's Hampden it does not matter which end we get the view is equally shit, leave the debate about traditions and who gets what end to the ugly sisters. Let's concentrate on getting as many Motherwell fans as possible there on the day and make it a day to remember.

  12. Time to wind up the wee leprechaun as much as we can starting with Robbo saying stuff about Shellic players staying on their feet when they get near the box ,looking for strong referee and so on .Doesnt really matter what end we are in but would like Burrows to put it out there that we want their "traditional " end so we can really piss them off .

  13. Just watching St. Brenda's comments on Sportscene "Motherwell will play a very different type of game to the one we will" ....... Let me get my Seville calculator out as it has a pikey translator function ....... it changes to "Motherwell are durty, durty bastards, protect them from my players such as Brown and Sinclair who are consummate professionals".

  14. Wasting money ?????? Why would it cost us money to question where our fans would be sitting in a cup final in the so called national stadium ???? the M74 now nearly runs a single corridor from Motherwell to Aikenhead road to the east stand at Hampden and the associated coach parking Its what is totally wrong with Scottish football that we pander to the west of Scotland establishment/ press/media/old firm fans etc etc who decide a on the monopoly of where supporters sit at a cup semi/ final....it's not rangers end/ Celtic end it s the west and east stands Ffs !!!Because it been the case for the last 40/50/60years ago !!!! Unfortunately Police Scotland and its predecessors Stathclyde Police......who could not organise a piss up in a brewery when it comes to policing football as we have seen many times over the last few years as the green brigade runs riot every where they go and the ftp brigade goes un challenged on the other-side !!!! Cracking day yesterday, looking forward to the final no matter where we sit !!!! Xxxxxxx

  15. Good plan, following your suggestion, as someone willing to find fault in everything specialist, we can leave the talking shite to you on here.

  16. We get 25% of the pooled semi gate, so 25% of 70,000 rather than 50% of 18,000. The club only tell us when they’re skint though, they don’t generally mention any positives financially. Although I don’t really care, who’s going to tell their kids/grandkids about that famous season we turned a £200k profit. As long as we’re keeping the lights on and a team on the park it’s not really a major concern for me.
