  1. I bumped into Robinson yesterday and he told me he's picking Grimshaw solely in order to wind you up because he thinks you're a dildo.

  2. He's a massive upgrade on McHugh in that DM position. Bit of a weird one today. Thought we were great going forward for the first half hour but at the same time you have to accept that Livingston had a lot of chances too and perhaps a better team would have scored one, or two, or three. So on the ball we were what you are looking to see, defensively I just think we might have struggled against a better team. Still rather that than creating nothing and pumping the ball high but it's something to look at. Second half we stayed in 2nd gear and just killed the game off and not a lot happened. With Turnbull, Arriyibi and Hastie in the side we've literally quadrupled our attacking threat and you can see teams, especially bottom 6 level teams really struggling to cope with that. LOT more football being played and it's great to see the young players, and I think we have a generation of really good young players at the club, proving they are more than good enough to play first team football. Probably more positive about the team at the moment than I have been at any time under Robinson.

  3. I heard Cadden was a Bhuddist and supports Ranipokhari Corner Team.

  4. Not having a go at your opinion. Haha my curse in No 1 was actually a quote from Mike Bassett.... not a good joke if I have to explain it. My point re Gorrin is that a lot of fans put the emphasis on the importance of McHugh record in arial duels and second balls. However I thought Gorrin more than matched that today with the added ability to pass the ball quickly and effectively. Think it’s harsh to call him a 5’s player. He’s been excellent last few games.

  5. Not sure what games your watching. No 1 - we are not playing 4-4-fucking 2. We are playing 4-4-1-1 or today a more 4-3-3. No 2 - Alex Gorrin has been instrumental in our recent form and I amongst others thought he was excellent today. Won every header, was very strong in the tackle and kept the game flowing with quick passes and changes of play. To say he’s a 5’s player is just utter nonsense.

  6. Managed to sleep right through the game! Raging!! What a result. Is Europe still mathematically possible?

  7. We handled the second half well, making sure they didn’t get back into the game easily. We had a couple of breaks but were way more conservative overall, which is probably the professional thing to do. Thought Gorrin had a really good game, keeping things calm and collected in the middle and breaking things up. He and Campbell are giving the attacking mids the license to push on. Hastie, Turnbull and Campbell are players you pay to watch, hopefully we secure hastie for a couple more years soon. I think we need to consider extending Gorrin. Great to see main with the neat finish at the end of a good move, and I thought that Tait and grimmy were solid. James Scott is a unit. I’m looking forward to him rag dolling defenders for the rest of the season.

  8. The Dali Lama has got to be the biggest 'Well fan ever as he is always donning the famous C&A. Wonder what seat he sits in the East Stand.

  10. My dad saw Tanner and Cadden coming out the swimming pool last week so he can definitely walk. I'm sure my dad would have told me if he was slithering out on his belly.

  11. Another aspect of our young players coming through is the message it sends to the parents and advisors of the young kids out there today, those who are weighing up their options. If we can start to cultivate a reputation as a club that gives youth a proper chance it could benefit us down the road.

  12. I think this must have been extended at some point, as I’m sure it was a 2 year deal when he signed.

  13. I'm glad at the way things are going recently but let's be clear about this. We've won 4 games in a row with a year of absolute turgid shite behind them. Hopefully we go in the right direction now, there are signs we might, signs of a different philosophy taking root, but it's taken Robinson a long time to enact changes that a lot of punters could have told him to do last October or even before then. These victories only underline how badly wrong Robinson got it for so long before hand. In my opinion he's lucky to still be in the job, and not just once but on a couple of occasions, but I'm not a hypocrite, I will support him if I see the criteria I've outlined so many times before being ticked. I hope he continues to do so.

  14. To be fair, we do have a habit of not getting out quick enough after our initial clearances. Tait in particular today played a couple of Livingston players onside. At least, that's my excuse...

  15. And I will add it's difficult to concentrate on game in East stand when you have a guy sitting near you who spends whole game shouting OUT....OUT.....OUT

  16. We scud Livingston 3-0 and the match thread is 4 pages long. We lose at home to Kilmarnock and it's triple that alongside the Robbo thread growing by a few pages, and calls for Burrows to be sacked because he's out his depth etc etc...

  17. Enjoying that the guy himself has said he should be back this season but people on this thread think he'll be lucky to walk again.

  18. So many good performances... Gillespie (one great save, one good save and an assist)... Aldred (8 out of 10 every week)... Gorrin (solid)... Ariyibi (great first half)... Main (energetic as usual, but with a goal)... but it has to be Hastie today

  22. We are now the same amount of points clear of Hamilton as they have managed to amass all season. It's been a good day.

  26. Cadden is a big Celtic fan according to Trevor Carson on a recent Open Goal podcast. Not that it matters, he’s immersed himself in the club just like Lasley and Hammell.

  27. Fuck that, we are completely safe and (while it's fairly unlikely we can do it) top six should definitely be our aim. I assume MFCTV will work just fine on Chrome on an iPad?

  30. People really need to calm down with this McKinstry stuff man, no need to rush the lad in hes Motherwell at heart and probs won’t leave. Just let him progress at the right speed like Turnbull and the rest for example. He will get his time if that’s next season or the one after, he’ll get some minutes near the end but we have other young players ready to come through first such as Liam Brown etc.

  31. Yeah but Cooper was great. Bigirimana wasn't the worst player in the squad but he wasn't really good at anything. Not a defensive midfielder, not a creator, not a goalscorer. My hope is that Turnbull has shown up a lot of the players in that squad for what they are and the manager has recognised that. The players that started this season weren't and aren't good enough and they need to be cleared out. Rose gone, Bowman gone, Bigirimana gone, Taylor Sinclair gone, there's more need cleared out but we are headed in the right direction.

  32. I am also a Bigi fan and thought we wasted him with our style of hoofball - he played some of his best games when we tried to keep it in on the deck. Ironic that we punt him a couple of weeks after we make the conscious decision to start playing more football, but with Gorrin, Hastie, Turbull, Gboly, Frear, McCormack and Bigi all competing for starting spots they weren't all going to be happy. All this "luxury player" patter is nonsense. It's just about getting the balance right. We'd have been in poor shape if we had dropped Davie Cooper because he never tackled anyone or tracked back.

  33. He’s only signed with Hibs until the end of the season. I suspect he’s been pushed out the door. Given his apparent technical ability, Bigi is a player I always wanted to get a chance but unfortunately whenever he got his opportunity, he never really made the most of it. All the best to him at Hibs. Shame we couldn’t have talked someone into taking Hartley too.

  34. His late contribution against Hibs suggested he still had something to offer but I'm guessing Robinson has blamed him for one too many goals.
