  1. Spoke to my mates about this recently. If someone had said you are going to have a poor season but will beat gers 6-1 in play off I would probably have said.......aye I will take that

  2. Disappointed with some of the call ups but Mctominay's inclusion isn't one of them, ran the show at Old Trafford v Barca, dominated PSG, A lot of Man Utd fans would agree he was the one positive of the last 3 months or so. there is a player there, more so than Lewis Morgan and Liam Palmer.

  3. I liked the freshness the changes brought to the competition but the regionisation is increasingly taking much of that freshness away. It's becoming repetitive when you are restricted to only half the teams in the country in the group stages. What's that now Morton twice in four seasons? Queen of the South twice in a row, Annan twice in three or four seasons. We've also had two trips to Stranraer and played Edinburgh City twice too since the revamp. Time for another tweak, or for us to qualify for Europe again methinks!

  4. Two OF games that I'd like to see again - Brian McLair's hat trick to beat Rangers followed shortly afterwards by his double to beat Celtic. (1983 I believe).

  5. The group format was tried before and failed fairly quickly. I know they tweaked it slightly, but the repetition of fixtures and the early scheduling certainly doesn't help matters. Of all the formats tried, I always preferred the single tie, guaranteed result on the night, approach.

  6. McTominay is a very good player, playing at a huge Club. Turnbull should certainly have made the squad though, his goalscoring statistics alone should have seen to that. For me, this squad is really disappointing though. Four goalkeepers in the squad for no conceivable reason, and the likes of Oli Burke and Mark McNulty in the squad over a guy in McBurnie who has scored 20-odd goals at a decent level left out. I also get that Clarke is an ex-Killie manager and knows those players inside out but if he believes that Stephen O'Donnell is good enough, then that has me worried.

  7. Lucky you. If you'd ever had to try and negotiate your way past the cunts while trying to get children who are with you to the toilet and for drinks etc then you'd maybe change your tune. Bottom line is this, they shouldn't be in beside the home fans at all. They're absolute cretins of the highest order.

  8. How about the Andy Lynch double in a Motherwell v Celtic midweek fixture at Fir Park, must have been the late 1970s. I think Colin McAdam got the opening goal in a three nil win. I seem to remember that Lynch’s second was an absolute cracker. Also recall that Roy Baines, Celtic goalie that night, quipped that he was happy to hear the final whistle as he thoughtAndy was going for his hat-trick.

  9. The format is a crock of shit. Club invited elsewhere and can’t due to fulfilling these fixtures.

  10. Time to get rid of seeding and regionalisation altogether and go with a free draw. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

  11. I will be very disappointed if we don't beat all 4 of them,

  12. I think he's been offered a short deal to assess whether he has recovered. Hopefully he has. He can play on the wing, as can Polworth, but neither are out and out wingers.

  13. Two Championship sides and a decent League One one is shite luck. I'd imagine we'll still go through but we can probably only afford one slip up to still be seeded for the knockouts.

  14. I'll take the latter option Andy!

  15. It's the potential requirement for a change of formation be that as a result of personnel changes, or simply when an opponent, in game situation or match warrants it, that left me slightly puzzled at the freezing out somewhat of Danny Johnson. I absolutely backed the decision to give James Scott the game time but wondered if perhaps some of that time might have been useful alongside another striker, in particular Johnson, to see if there was a potential partnership there. I still think Johnson offers something when we play with two strikers.

  16. It is a shame that people cannot be relied upon to behave themselves, but this change in policy is a necessary result of the times that we live in. It has obviously got to the stage where the aggravation caused by visiting fans in the main stand is just not worth the extra income that they generate. It is also worthwhile for our club to work to try and make the match day experience for our own fans as safe and enjoyable as possible. What beggars belief is the attitude of the fans of certain clubs who cannot comprehend that, when they turn up and behave like the bunch of c*nts that they probably are, that people decide that they want nothing whatsoever to do with then. Losing the £25 that each pays for admission, two or three times a season seems a small price to pay.

  17. You are obviously a lot younger than me with less experience of the bile the bigot brothers bring with them on match day. I have been a fan for well over 50 years, nearly 60 years, followed them everywhere. But being called a f****n bastard or an orange cunt, on numerous occasions, even asked by a h*n cunt what religion I was when sitting in the main stand, I gave up attending those matches. But I gave it a go again in 1993, a few days after the IRA killed two wee boys in Warrington, we had to endure almost 5,000 bigots giving us varying renditions of IRA songs. Even a Police officer next to me was visibly upset. Then John Boyle made me give up my season ticket seat in the Cooper Stand to accommodate this vermin, I gave up and have never been back. Celtic and Rangers are the scum of Scotland and I hate them with a passion that is unhealthy. Anyway, I have said my bit.
