  1. This probably isn't the thread for it but the notion that discussing this is wrong because of Rangers fans point scoring has meant that the victims had to wait an extra 20 years for justice and are still waiting on an apology and compensation. Celtic promoted that line through the media to protect their reputation and it's sad to see after so much information has become available that people are still mindlessly parroting it.

  2. The story has been all over the media. You are just playing into Celtic's hands by repeating their pish about not bringing this up. No one gave the BBC the same treatment over Saville. They managed to hush it up for 30 years but they will be paying for that soon.

  3. The same amateurs that are both publicly and within the game, the envy of clubs all over the UK? Let me assure you, these "amateurs" are the reason we still have a club at all right now, let alone one that is sustainable and profitable. Just wait and see where we go in the next few years, all thanks to the current regime.

  4. Your figures are accurate. I think the "uncertainties" relate to transfer income etc after the financial year end. From John Boyle's debt we can deduct a furthter £70K according to the accounts, so that would then be updated to Les £995 and JB £140K making a total of £1.135m. Since then we've picked up, reportedly, £750K from Kipre's fee and about £60K from Bowman's departure If we take 40% of that, this would reduce the outstanding debt to about £810K. If we now deduct 40% of monies received for Jake Hastie, Stuart McKinstry, that would amount to say a further £280K reducing the debt to about £530K. Deduct say a further £150K through the Double Your Money offer to 31 May this year and that brings down the total to about £380K. Should Chris Cadden go for say £500K (an assumption I know) another £200K would be knocked off the debt leaving it at about £180K. Thats my best estimate. To keep the thread on track, I assume that Sloth will be a replacement for the allrounder Gorrin, but thats an assumption on my part .

  5. Is that not Hylton? From the clips i’ve seen of him, he is fast, tricky and has a goal in him.......does that make him mercurial?

  6. Depends if the discussion is actually about supporting the victims, or just taking pot shots at Celtic. Most of the social media posts are just people points scoring against Celtic rather than any real concern for the victims.

  7. the biggest disrespect, is not discussing it in my opinion. As I said, threads go off at tangents from time-to-time

  8. It's nothing to do with an idea of protecting Celtic, it's about respecting those who have been abused. As i've said there may be a place for it, this isn't it.

  9. In what way is 'Steelboy' using it as 'oneupmanship'? These rumours have been kicking about since I was a wean, and the deflection from Celtic has lead to years and years more misery for the poor men that were assaulted. If Celtic had acted adequately at the time, or even in any of the years since then, this wouldn't be happening right now.

  10. We got money as well for Sheff Utd going up from Ben Heneghan even though he was on loan at Blackpool this season.
