  1. Only conclusion you can draw from this really is that David Turnbull fucking hates Celtic. Fully on board with that tbh.

  2. Got us £3.2 million minimum AND tells Selik to fek off ya cheapskate barstewards. Then gets them to put out a magnificently embarassing statement and their team captain begs him to sign . The answer is still no thanks . Three statues at least and a named stand please.

  3. Norwich have had a bid accepted according to the Record. That English clubs are still making bids this late into the summer will be shocking to some people on here.....

  4. Remember those more simple times when Celtic made it quite clear they didn't talk about other teams players. Me neither, come to think of it... Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

  5. Motherwell come out of this looking very well imo. It would appear that no club in England is ready to pay £3mil and in the end, Celtic have possibly ‘overpaid’ in order to avoid a re-run of the McGinn embarrassment. I look forward to watching the next chapter on David’s career. Barring injury, he’ll inevitably end up at a top English club but hopefully in the meantime we can watch one of our own progress on the European and international stage. Good luck to the boy, by far the most talented kid I’ve seen come through Fir Park in 30 years of watching Motherwell.

  6. Looks like a better offer than the Celtic 2.8m plus add ons. Maybe not a bidding war but definitely a skirmish.

  7. Hope fully we get another 6-12 months of glorious DT. I'd offer him another contract in about september too.

  8. Did Scott Brown seriously think that telling David he would be playing in front of 60,000 slavering, moronic knuckle draggers every week would actually encourage him to sign up.

  9. End of the day they have had the chance regardless, no real excuses. If they really wanted him they would have come in by now. Celtic’s gain is their loss in my view. Anyway, best of luck to him regardless, he did the right thing by the club.

  10. I think what's perhaps surprised me the most has been the apparent lack of interest from clubs down south to meet the £3 million valuation. I, like many others, assumed that there'd be a good three or four clubs who'd be willing to pay that for him. It seems there's been a lot of "interest" but no actual serious bids.

  11. Absolutely delighted for the player and club. As much as I detest agents, kudos to him for doing his job well. He’s also got us almost £1/2m more than what Celtic were giving us, and I’d imagine £5k a week more for his client. I have no doubt we have a good sell on agreed as well so the boy has done an incredible turn for the team he supports. The nonsense spouted from the likes of brown this week about trophies etc made me want him to move down south even more...treble treble, 10’in a row...... boring average league with a bang average Celtic being the best of a bad bunch. Clearly Brown believed he wasn’t good enough to go down south to play and win trophies there. Turnbull by moving there has shown more ambition and more desire to improve than Brown ever has. I’ll look forward to seeing him progress with a team other than one of the ugly sisters.

  16. Tinfoil hat on. Wouldn't surprise to Celtic come back in 2 or 3 weeks if there's no other offer, offering far less than £3m hoping that we panic and also that Turnbull drops his demands due to lack of concrete interest elsewhere.. Obviously hoping this isn't true but would be a kick in the balls...

  17. Wonder if they'll post a magnificently worded tweet to annouce it - if true of course

  18. It’s often standard practice for the buying club, I know that does not fit in to the agenda though so apologies.

  19. Mate you've asked that about six times. If it's confirmed it'll be on the website.

  20. No, Someone will undoubtedly be insistent that surely a club in England would take a chance...

  21. And if we have a sell-on clause in any deal with Celtic then we'll benefit from such a move down the line. If we haven't got such a clause in any deal with Celtic then that's a massive own goal by the club I feel.

  22. They don’t have European qualifiers or league cup in July, so probably a few weeks before most of them are back. Presume we start back training next week for league cup?

  23. someone mentioned there had been something like 11 transfers in the entire English leagues, English clubs don't get business done early on really hence the lack of bids.
