I dont like being negative. And its more frustration than negativity! I actually believe we have a very decent team, but unfortunately weve contrived (mainly by the Manager) to cut our own throats. 7 billion people in the world, all except our fucking manager, can see Chris Long is never a lone striker in a million years, but we will see him back in that position tomo nite. Incidentally the same situation with only Robinson seeing Grimshaw as a professional footballer! Tony Watt was fantastic the season he played for St Johnstone as TM, he could hold the ball up, link with the midfield etc, but he is warming our bench or getting cameos on the fucking wing. Hastie blew into the team as an inverted winger (cutting in on his good foot from the opposite wing) but he has been fucking awful recently, so why not try him on the left where he can at least run on the outside and beat defenders with his pace? We all know how Livvy will line up, and everyone knows they will sit in. Unfortunately we also know Robinson will not admit he is wrong and "go again" with the same ridiculous tactics and team and for the life of me I just cant see how we will break them down with how we are playing at the moment

Hastie not playing has affected us though, since he has actually been out on the park. Maybe he will adopt Brazilian custom and just become known by the one name and have “BAMBI” across the back of his shirt. At the very least I hope he puts the right studs in his boots for this game.

Surely we have youngsters that can play defence. I know it's all about opinions but I dont see point in us signing another player seeing as Robbo always plays the we are skint card. If no youngsters to promote then we should be asking why. Sorry that's my opinion and I am sure folk will disagree.....but hey it's better than me telling jokes!!.....ps. That the picking and choosing of applicable points negative or positive can be done subjectively to suite whatever context and argument you wish to build. Thank you for further illustrating that. And you're right of course I wouldn't for a second put last season's team in the same bracket as the 93'94 side. That was never the point as I'm sure you were fully aware.

I hope the defence does not stay the same. Really unfortunate the injury to McGinley. I know we have limited options but I still feel we are strong in midfield and up front and will come good. I am nowhere near as negative as Shaka but then who is. But I don’t disagree with his comment that playing Grimshaw and Mugabi lessens our chances of a clean sheet. Time to try something else out but I also suspect you are right and Grimshaw and Mugabi will start. In which case we will need to score at least 2 goals to get a draw or a win. I see more of the same as v County and United but hopefully we can get a bit of luck or rub of the green to get 3 points.
