  2. The board appointed a new manager and signed 3 players since Robinson left. Whether they publically announce that they are making signings or not doesn't really reflect on their leadership. We don't need statements and tweets.

  3. Or maybe just go about our business quietly, announce deals when they are done and save ourselves a few quid......

  4. or maybe robinsons son harry got a loan deal to QOS, where max johnstones dad is the boss, in return for max getting a step up to our seniors just a theory ( imo ) as it all happened round about the same time

  5. lol Smith has not even played a full game for us how the hell can you make that conclusion. How can anyone take your comments seriously when you have not even seen the guy perform in our team. Ridiculous comment

  6. So another potentially game changing decision...we are due a few dodgy calls. Alexander must be wondering about the standard of reffing up here. Last weeks v Rangers was touch and go but the pen v st Mirren and the non pen yesterday plus seedorf cut back....

  7. Maguire's started 4 matches in midfield this season and we won 2 of them. In fact we haven't won since he last played there. Polworth needs to be dropped as he is a complete liability in a relegation dog fight. And no harm to Crawford but I just don't see what he adds. I actually think the back 4 and goalkeeper, on paper at least, looks like the best part of our team. 14 matches this season we've conceded 1 goal or less. We've conceded a lot less goals than Ross County or Hamilton. The big issue for me, right from the start of the season, has been the lack of a goal scorer in the squad. 19 goals in 23 matches is the major problem. Then when you consider we had two big wins, 4-0 v Ross County and 3-0 v Aberdeen and that leaves 12 goals in 21 matches. Horrific. Our shooting stats are abysmal.

  8. We just signed a Striker and a winger..!! Give them a chance to have at least one full game to see what they can do

  9. We will never, ever get VAR in Scotland. The excuse will be "reported" as cost, but the reality is VAR will disproportionately affect the Old Firm and so will never be allowed! Everyone gets affected by shite refs, some teams (like us Now) more than others at times, but the constant is always that the Old Firm get every 50/50 their way, and some even more blatant decisions too. VAR would even out a lot of those decisions and Lawwell will never allow that

  10. Behave yourself. The ball takes a ridiculous deflection that leaves everyone in the ground flat footed bar Consadine who was already on the move. Blaming Carroll for that is mental. He's also the best option we have at left back by an absolute mile and if he hadn't been injured for so long there's a good change we wouldn't be in the position we find ourselves in now.

  11. He injured his knee in training. They’re hopeful of a return on Wednesday although not clear.

  12. A largely self-inflicted loss but one that brings a growing sense of annoyance at our governing bodies. I thought the starting eleven deserved another go based on their performance last weekend but it was a worryingly sluggish start, The defending for their goal was really poor but I thought it did spark us to life and if anything we were the better team for much of the remainder of the half with Watt being particularly unfortunate with his effort off the post. I thought we were very unlucky not to have got a penalty too. A positive change from the manager at the interval although I might have been inclined to go with Hastie rather than Long but the task became all the more difficult with Polworth's red. It remains to be seen what was said and it isn't the first time he's shown himself to be unnecessarily argumentative and niggly but what I will say is if that I see games week in, week out where players are snarling at other players and officials without being reprimanded for it. On the back of the messing about with the St Mirren/Killie appeal, Madden's penalty at St Mirren, the offside last week and now this, patience with our esteemed FA is growing somewhat thin. Commendable that Alexander showed ambition to try to rescue the game but at some risk as the repeated saves (some excellent ones at that) from Kelly showed. And all ultimately for nothing with further poor defending for the second. Ultimately a defeat somewhat in keeping with many this season. Far from being outclassed by the opposition but sooner or later shooting ourselves in the foot and suffering for it.

  13. Lose this and the best we’re doing this season is 11th. Alexander may well be a decent manager but he’s inherited the most gutless shower of shite in a generation. 4-1 County.

  14. Jeeso man, has lockdown sent some folk a bit mental? Alexander has realistically had two games in charge. He got a great point against Rangers, and today we created more chances in the first 45 than we did in the last 5 or 6 games under Robinson. We've been undone by a moment of absolute stupidity from a player who should know that there are options coming back into midfield, so Alexander doesn't need to tolerate shite like that. He's made what looks like three decent signings so far and we already look like a more cohesive team than we did for most of 2020. I'm definitely feeling more positive after today than I did a fortnight ago.

  15. Aside from some sketchy marking for their goal, I thought we were well up to speed in the first half, unlucky not to be level and extremely unlucky not to have a stonewall penalty. However, Seedorf should be nowhere near the starting lineup, and Polworth's general attitude is rotten. There's nothing on the bench to come on and change the game when things aren't working working. I still think we have enough to stay up but need some good recruitment in this window. Slightly worried about Watt being subbed early two weeks in a row, Alexander's arm was possibly forced with the sending off but Watt isn't the player I'd of taken off. Literally every piece of promising attacking play comes from Tony Watt.

  16. Agree …… Think most of our problems stem from midfield the mix in there is not right

  17. Carroll has already made us more solid at the back. Him signing is great news. We will have to see how Harry Smith fits in but the talk of Cole and Watt being first pick for the rest of the season is crazy. We haven't scored two goals in a game since October so we need something different up top. If the next two games go against us I would hope the board decide to make a serious move in the transfer market. With the current group of players we could easily be relegated and not trying to improve the squad risks going out with a whimper. The support were let down badly in the summer which was surely down to complacency after finishing third. There are no excuses now and if we finish 11th or 12th it will be down to sheer negligence.
