Against Aberdeen and Livi, Efford's contribution as a sub was in important factor in both victories. From a defensive point of view he supported SOD who had run his heart out and was tiring. and on the offensive side he continued the attacking threat that SOD had provided all afternoon. Exactly the impact you hope a sub will have. Something that Alexander's substitutions constantly failed to achieve. So although he might not be a world beater, let's not underplay his contribution and improvement under Hammell. I certainly don't yet see him as a first team fixture but can we please acknowledge that he has shown up and contributed.

I don't know. Killie fans accepted the switch to a plastic pitch. I don't think we would. People went more mental here about giving the Old Firm extra stands than some other clubs as well.

I think Shields can contribute too. He does need to be stronger but I also think we need to play him passes inbehind the defence to run onto.

On this, I believe he offers a fair bit more to the team than Connor Sheilds does at the moment and should be starting. Connor struggles to hold the ball up or beat his man. Wee Joe can beat his man. If he can just find the end product, he’ll be a good player at this level. Time will tell if he can keep improving under Hammell.

Boyd and McKinnon were decent full backs in their time, Boyd might be an obnoxious celtic obsessed arsehole these days, but he was a decent player back in the day.
