I was half expecting them to ask us to play on the Tuesday after playing on the Sunday. Why we can't just play Rangers on the Saturday is beyond me.

Exactly I would fancy our chances against hearts at home and there's absolutely no reason why we can't go and get a positive result at easter road and tannadice,we've won already at pittodrie so there's nothing to fear there either playing at home.i don't expect anything against the old firm clubs but if we actually have a go at rangers then who knows,they don't look great at the back.

There's a couple of teams that seem that way. For me, Livi is the other one. I know we have a good record against them, even away from home, but it never quite feels like that.

This was not started to bring politics into the discussion, just a suggestion that the club / SPFL should be looking to save monies in the current climate. I don't think the floodlights will be cheap to run especially with the predicted increase in Electricity costs. Dont agree with either what you say or whether we should be discussing politics on here. Also, as being of a certain age and remembering the 3-day week which was in the 1970's (I was at college at the time) is certainly not early 20th century.

As long as he isnt carrying any new injuries we dont know about, if he has had a full pre season behind him, he should certainly be fit for the bench. A 10 / 15 minute cameo will do fine right now.

Looking at the way we are playing now what’s obvious is Alexander actually signed some good players. Goss, Slattery, Tierney, Spittal, McGinn, for starters, he just refused to let them play.
