It was the extreme nature of your assessment. We've all said this guy or that guy is shite, or he needs to drop a division or two to find his level, but to look at Bair's stats and declare he isn't capable of playing professional football was a bit much. Folk who are paid to make these decisions, whose jobs depend on them, clearly see something the stats don't show.

Midfield for me were fantastic this is the Slattery we saw when he first arrived but better and young Miller just getting more confident on the ball by the game. Only real negative if I was to pick something that stood out a bit was the downgrade in wing backs from last season it’s clearly visible we are going to ship a lot of goals because of this. Good point onwards and upwards.

Piss poor. Neither striker kicked their own arse in the second half yet we persisted with them almost until the end. Bair took his goal well but they are both rotten, Bair looked slightly better which is mainly just a reflection on how bad Wilkinson is, the guy can barely move. Relying on SOD going forward is tragic and Soare is unbelievably bad. He should have been hooked 5 minutes into the second half but again Kettlewell waited until we had thrown away the points.

Hows it baffling, have you seen them train in last week ,do you know who’s fully fit and who’s no, do you know what formation / tactics we will be playing today, do you know anything the manager doesn’t. Thought the ref was pretty decent. Got all the bookings right. Other than the deflection from Miller where we should have got a corner I thought he was pretty spot on with most decisions. If the penalty claim is for S'OD at the back post I reckon he got that right as well. S'OD was already off balanced and the ball cleared before he rolled over the back of their player.

Also Spittal has to be the worst set piece taker I've seen. The freekick at the end where he shouted Miller off it then failed to even hit it in the box should be the end of him taking them.

Thought Dundee shaded it today, and if any team can feel short-changed with a draw it's them. I think we had more possession, but they seemed more decisive with the ball. Still, a point is a point. Even if it is against a team most favour to go right back down. Next weekend against Hibs will be a more stern test.

Just like him going a few games and not scoring wouldn't mean he's a write-off for us, scoring in one game doesn't mean he's going to be a success. Let's hope he can get a few more goals in the next few weeks.

Dundee United was the smart move for Louis. He will get the chance to create and score without running about too much and he will thrive in the big fish in a small pond environment. Hopefully his knees hold up to the workload but that's not usually how it works.

KVV was a huffy bugger. A bit like the grand old duke of York, during his purple patch everything was perfect. When things weren't going away his attitude was far from perfect, hence playing for the likes of us rather than a higher level. Pretty sure GA said something along the lines of there is baggage with Kev but he's worth it. Pretty accurate. He certainly was worth it.
